I didn't realize before that there are two sizes of lamp rods for sockets. I bought the wrong size earlier. There aren't many large size available. I was glad to find this one. It was a perfect fit.

All the sockets at the local hardware stores had a hole that was too small to screw onto my lamp. I believe they were 1/8 IPS. This one was the correct size.

I bought a beautiful pair of vintage lamps for my living room. All they needed was to be wired. I bought the standard lamp wiring kits but the threaded sockets were too small. I then went in search of larger sockets. That was four years ago! None of the major hardware stores or lamp shops could help. I even tried antique lamp parts stores online. No luck. Until now! These sockets screwed on perfectly and, after all these years, I can finally enjoy my lamps.

I got this for a lamp that was falling apart and do not have any bad thing to say about it. It is solidly built and it does the job. Do not have to worry about cracking the housing or anything like that. I would buy this again if I needed another one

I have a lamp at home which I was searching forever to find a compatible sized socket that wouldn't require re-engineering the whole lamp. I searched every Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, Walmart, and Ace hardware I could find for the right size, none of them had it. This shop here on Amazon however surprised me with just the right sized socket! It works great and I am happy with the results.
