This item worked great for video and capture from my android phone. I didn't have any issues with Latency, audio clipping, or tracking. My only complaint is that the male usb port has a lot of play in female ports and feels like it will fall out (as though the tolerance isn't as tight as it should be). And yes, these ports I plug it into have no problems with other usb devices experiencing play.

It does OK at capturing 1080p video. I gave it three stars since the title, headline, and metadata say it has 4K video capture. (Yes, I know the fine print says the output is limited to 1080p, but that's splitting hairs on what is honesty in their posting). If you want a 1080pcaptue device, this is OK (I'd give it 4-5 stars if that was what they called it). If you want a 4K capture device, this is a pathetic misbranding to waste your time and money (3 stars was generous based on their product name).

PROS:- Compact & pocketable- Supports connection to up to 4K 60fps outputCONS:- May need USB extension where adjacent ports are in use- Needs an adapter for USB-C portsIn testing, I found this was able to capture content from a subscription streaming service on a computer (my M1 Mac Mini). I thought that meant it handled HDCP, but after connecting it to my Roku 3, it gave an HDCP error as soon as I began to play any video. That calls into question the "Connect the capture card to a Firestick to watch content on your computer, ideal for travel!" claim currently made in the product listing. I tried an older Fire Stick I have, but it never displayed beyond the "Fire TV" logo.Video via QuickTime was smooth, but for some reason was only 1280 x 720 with mono audio. VLC was 1920 x 1080 with stereo audio, but motion was not smooth. OBS gave the best results, with the proper resolution, audio, and smooth motion. If you have poor results, try different software before blaming the hardware. While USB 3.0 would be nice, it really isn't required. Keep in mind the video presented via USB will be compressed, and the 480Mbps nominal data rate of USB 2.0 is over 4 times the data rate streaming from a UHD Blu-ray disc.Connecting to my Windows PC as the input source confirmed that a 4K 60fps video input is accepted (see images). I note the manual states 4K 30fps as the maximum, while the product listing shows 30 fps in at least 3 different images, while stating 60fps in the text. With the appropriate app, this can be used on phones and tablets, but an appropriate USB adapter would be needed. At the current price (under $10) it is difficult to go wrong with this device.

I like this capture device for capturing video played from a DVD, game system, or other external device. It really works great. The setup is quick and simple, and it does just what it advertises. It's nice because you can capture in 4K hi-res.

What else can I say? Useless instructions. The manufacturers should not expect that every customer is an expert.Bob does not recommend.
