Pros: It didn't leak and most the assembly was easy.Cons: The female threaded ports had burs on them and the adapters didn't want to go in. I had to clean the threads up to use the provided parts. That just shows poor craftsmanship. But hey, easy fix 🤷♂️ The worst part is the pump Claims 1 - 4 Liters per minute. So even at it's slowest rating, it should be able to drain the 10 liters this engine holds in 10 minutes. Well, after 20 minutes, it pumped maybe 4 liters at best. At that point the pump was ~140°F and I gave it a rest. The duty cycle listed is 30 minutes, but I didnt trust it based on the lies about volume. The battery was nice and charged, the oil fill cap was off the engine, it just doesn't move much fluid.

Works as intended. Extremely quiet. Pumps fast and easy. Used it to fill the rear differential with heavy oil and it handled it like a champion. Highly recommend it.

The unit started out slow and maybe got a 1/2 a quart out and then nothing. I tried several times and it still wouldn’t pull any oil out of the crank case. I ended up doing it the old fashioned way, got underneath the car and pulled the drain plug.

I got this oil extractor to make changing the oil on my vehicles and small engine equipment easier, however I had mixed experiences. My first use of this extractor was on my lawn mower, and it was fairly easy to slide the suction tube in and extract all of the oil. However when I tried to use it on my Ford Escape I struggled to get the suction tube into the dipstick tube. I was never sure it was down all the way because I kept sliding it down and it would get stuck, but with a few twists or turns I could get it to go further. Finally I was able to start getting some oil coming out. When no more oil was being extracted I cracked the drain plug and at least 2 more quarts came out. This left me questioning the effectiveness of the extractor. Overall the pump worked well, and I loved that it connected directly to the 12V battery. It also came with all of the clamps and hoses it needed to get started. I also liked the way this pump drained the oil directly into whatever bucket or pan you wanted to put it in. My biggest complaint is that the suction hose was too rigid and too thick. Maybe if the suction tube was a little smaller diameter and it didn't want to curl up all the time, then it would make it all the way to the bottom of the oil pan.
