I have been using kinesiology tape for face taping at night so I grabbed this one from OK Tape to try. This one adhered way better than the one I had been using. It is more expensive, but I can tell the difference between them. Luckily, it does not take a whole lot for what I am doing, so I expect this will last me a while. If I am careful with it, I can re-use it for a couple of nights. It is thicker and sturdier than what I have been using. Since I am using this at night, the pattern does not matter to me, but if you are taping your knees or another large area, this might be cool.

This kinesiology tape is incredibly soft to the touch and has a fabric-like feel, which makes it comfortable to wear. However, it’s a bit more challenging to cut compared to the standard KTape I’m used to, and the edges tend to fray, so sharp scissors are a must for a clean cut. In areas where it does fray, the tape has a tendency to roll up, which affects its adhesive quality. The tension is similar to standard KTape, providing the support I need, but the adhesive isn’t as strong as I’d like. The pattern isn’t my favorite—it reminds me of a poor tribal tattoo design—but I usually wear it under leggings for knee support and stabilization. I don’t expect it to last more than a few hours, and I don’t think it will hold up well in water or the shower, as some other brands do. That said, it’s a good option if you only need short-term wear. I really want to love this tape because of how soft and comfortable it feels, but I have some concerns about its durability, especially if not kept in place by something like leggings to help prevent peeling.

I ordered the OK TAPE Synthetic Kinesiology Tape, Elastic Physical Therapy Athletic Tape for Pain Relief & Muscle Support, Uncut Kinetic Tape, 2in x 16.4ft- 2 Rolls (Rose), and I'm happy with it. I actually use this for wrinkle taping on my forehead and upper lip, and it works great. I ordered this since I tried this brand before and particularly loved it because it worked better than the other types of kinesiology tape. It's thinner, and it has quite a bit of stretch. It is very sticky, and I like that I can cut my own sizes. The adhesive is good, and my sensitive skin doesn't have any reactions. However, I can't use this on my forehead if I've had too much sodium that day otherwise the grooves on the sticky part make indentations on my forehead. Then I'll use different tape. There are two rolls. Each night I cut two pieces for my forehead that are a couple inches long and I place them in an "X" pattern on my forehead with the bottoms being on top of my eyebrows and equally covering up the area between them "the 11"s". The two strips that I used the day before I overlap and place horizontally right in the middle to make it extra firm. Then I cut strips off the end and tape up my upper lip where I place half the tape on top of my upper lip and then I lift it up before bed. I've been pursing my lips and sleeping on my side my whole life, and it created lip lines especially on one side. Wrinkle taping and facial yoga has taken ten years off of my face. I used to laugh when people talked about face yoga as I thought it sounded like some joke, but it actually worked after a few months from me. I didn't understand the science to it that If I work out certain muscles in my face, they get much larger and fill out the excess skin on my face, therefore removing the wrinkles. I realized I scowl in my sleep and have no idea why, but when I wrinkle tape it keeps those areas flat where I don't wake up looking, angry and prevents more wrinkles on my forehead from side sleeping on my preferred side. Overall, I'm really happy to try this brand again since it works so well for my purposes, and I recommend it if you like a thinner athletic tape, thank you.

After searching for some scissors, I cut off a 2 ft section of this tape for my review. It came off the backing quite easily, but to be honest, my scissors had a bit of trouble cutting through the tape, maybe I need to look for something a bit more specialized than my trusty old school scissors. It’s possible that this tape, with its sticky backing, needs a more medical scissor, I don't know.Anyway, I just attached it to my arm as a sample so I could keep an eye on it and see if the edges started to roll up. You have the option to use it by stretching the skin or stretching the tape itself, and I found that the tape stretched nicely when needed. It was super easy to apply and adhered well to my skin without any discomfort. After wearing it for a day, I didn’t experience any irritation, and when I took it off, I didn’t need any baby oil or alcohol to help, it came off painlessly. I did notice that it suggests shaving the area before applying the tape. I’m not sure if that’s for medical reasons or to prevent pain from hair being pulled when removing it, but thankfully my arm hair stayed intact and wasn't an issue. On the negative side, I did catch a bit of a funky smell coming from the tape. It wasn’t body odor or stored in a warehouse; rather, it had a kind of chemical musty scent, though it didn’t seem like mildew. After applying it, my hands had a slightly strange smell that I didn’t like. I’m planning to give it to my son to see if he notices the smell too. If he doesn’t, I’ll definitely update this review. If he does, I will make sure to update it also! For now, 3.5 stars, rounded to 4.
