Use Tip
Use the sides of the box to line your saw up with the correct angle. Score your cut with the saw first, making sure the cut will be on the waste side of the mark. Then, proceed to use the saw normally to cut through your piece.

I ordered this to use on small craft wood. But I just used it to cut the feet off a coffee table that I'm adding longer legs to. This saw is excellent.

I should have known better. Nice new sharp hack saw, plastic mitre box. Blue plastic shrapnel everywhere. Hahaha.. if I take it easy, it might be ok.

The saw is not good enough to cut even the thin wood pieces. Cutting an angle is not efficient as well.

The saw is fine, it's the miter box. It's plastic so you cut into the plastic as you saw your item. Dulls the saw and throws off the miter eventually. BUT - I only needed a miter box for 6 cuts, so it did the trick. Can probably get one more job's use out of it.

The design is ok, the execution is rather poor. The plastic used to make this is thin and brittle. A tool like this should be made of a much more resilient plastic. This is not a quality tool, I recommend you get something made with better materials.

It took forever to cut about three or four cuts on a trim. This is not a good saw.

I like the ease of use and feel although it’s lightweight stamped plastic. The only reason I returned the item is because it just wasn’t the width and I needed. I needed one that could expand. Looking at the pix I thought it would expand for wider pieces but it does not. It comes to you 4 1/8” wide and cannot be moved in our out, it’s just how it’s built. That said when I need to cut angles on a 2x4 or less I’m in luck because it cuts well with some effort. I’m NOT a woodworker by any means; live and learn. Otherwise it’s a very helpful item.
