Heads up- When I first got it, it did have a super strong rubber smell that stunk up my car for weeks till it finally faded. But I bought this shift boot 4 months ago in March. Started to noticed little black sand like bits appearing by the shifter which i thought was dirt or other old car mystery crud from an 88 Jeep. Didn't think much of it at first, but realized all those tiny black bits was rubber falling off of the shift boot as it was eating itself raw and now there is a big hole in the side???The one that I replaced never had this issue for all the +18 years it was being used. Is it the type of rubber maybe?? I'd of thought it would have lasted longer since I've never experienced a shift boot destroying itself before. Disappointed with the short period of time it took to cause it's own demise.

The boot is a little small, but it works great. I had to make a beauty ring for it wish it came with one, but no big deal for the price can’t beat it.

Although this was not advertised for my vehicle, I thought it would work. I have a 1954 GMC truck and I needed a boot to make it look better. It fit perfectly and makes the floor to look a lot better. Very, very satisfied.

Very tight fit and it bunches up and makes it hard to shift into 2nd gear sometimes.

Fits very snug. You will need a shifter boot bezel to install it. I bought my bezel also off Amazon.

Works for what I need it for. Yes it's not offset as it is in the picture but it's not an issue. It's flexible and made of rubber. Reading the other reviews makes me laugh. People are upset because the rubber shift boot they bought smells like rubber. How often are you sniffing your shift boot? Do you go out to eat, order the fish and complain that the fish smells like fish?

This item is not as pictured. In the photo, the "pyramid" is offset to the left. Not so in the unit I received, which is center-oriented. It does compromise finding 3rd gear in my five speed gear box. And it SMELLS! I washed it several times in warm soapy water to try and remove the smell, which resembles the inside of a car tire. It does the job, and the price isn't bad. Replaced the bezel and the boot, and it did improve the look inside the Jeep. But definitely NOT as pictured.UPDATED 11/13/2016. This rubber boot STILL STINKS. And it moves when I shift into 3rd gear. I am continuously fighting this thing. Too bad.

Even though this is for a Jeep, I took a chance and ordered it for my Datsun which was missing this cover. It fits great and reduces a lot of road noise. It came a little cruddy and smelling of factory rubber but once cleaned off, its great. Four stars for being decent quality but coming a little dirty and smelly.
