Worked really well with my Komodo Joe. The chicken turned out excellent.I read a recommendation to coat the outside with olive or other cooking oil (Pam?) to make the cleaning easier. I did not do this but absolutely will next time as cleaning is a challenge—no fault of the holder.

This works great. It's more stable, doesn't require a can and the chicken slides off easily when it's done. Cleans up perfectly in the dishwasher.

Bought this set more for the turkey sized one and it's great! The small one is just as good. I've done quite a few chickens now and it's still going strong. The ceramic is easy to clean and no rust spots like the metal ones get over time.

Used it 4 times & so far it’s good. It has proper height & circumference for chicken placement, but could use more weight for increased stability.

I bought two as gifts. One for my dad and one for my neighbor. When my dad told me he made beer can chicken with an actual beer can I scolded him, “you know there’s plastic in beer cans dad.” So I ordered him one and got one for my neighbor who had just bought a smoker. Both of them love it and I got to try my neighbor’s chicken and it was really moist and flavorful. Don’t forget with these you can use any beer, or wine or juice you want. So if you like beer the only comes in bottles No Problem. I should probably get one for myself. Maybe I’ll ask my dad for one for Christmas…
