Good quality. Heavy material, so hopefully will last a long time. I had to bend the handles out some to accomodate my plate heat diffuser but works great. I have a vision smoker and had problems keeping fires going on long burns. This has helped stop the air flow issues I was having.

After wasting my time getting the “name brand” accessory made by same manufacturer as my smoker, I had to find one that actually worked and fit.This fits the Joe Classic II very well, and it allows you to use your heat deflectors, something the other options (including official model) don’t allow.

This is a real convenience item for use with the big green egg. It enhances both the ease of cleaning and the performance of the unit at about half the cost of the major brand. It is sturdy and well constructed. Fit a large green egg perfectly.

I actually used this in a upright smoker and was looking for greater air circulation around the coals and wood it this basket definitely provided it. Seems very sturdy at the moment.

I bought this to install in my 18" Kamado Joe. It fits best when you remove the factory metal grill at the bottom, but it will fit if you don't take it out too. You may just have to bend the handles on the basket or else deal with your grates being a little higher up. I eventually removed the thick metal grill and airflow is much better. No reason to go back.I used it throughout the winter when it was -20 celcius and when it was 30 degrees above. I notice that when I light a chimney inside, I let it burn for exactly 10 mins and then dump it in and I know the preset airflow settings to dial it in to 225 F within minutes and using this basket helps dial it in quicker than using the standard grill.So if you want to have an easier time lighting your egg BBQ, buy one of these and you won't regret it.

I read quite a few reviews regarding whether or not the would fit the Kamado Joe and people said it would, and others said it wont.Short answer is that it WILL fit and accommodate the Divide & Conquer rack, but just barely. If you remove the cast iron KJ grate, there is plenty of room. If you leave the cast iron grate on, the Divide & Conquer rack still works, although not perfectly because the basket handles are slightly taller than ideal. None of this height issue is a problem though in real world use - the Divide & Conquer rack still works, although not perfectly. I suppose you could bend the handles inward a hair and everything would be fine.

I liked the fact of being able to pull out the charcoal from a basket rather than having to scoop it out and it works quite well with getting the fire up and going, great product.

While many on a forum said this type of product was great for burning at high temps with good airflow, in my opinion the biggest bang for buck is how easy it is to clean out ashes. you can lift out all the coals then clean ashes in seconds without a lot of fussing and getting dirty.While burning does seem marginally better, hard to say how much, for me its the ash management that is the deal here.Construction is very good. No bad welds, its heavy duty stainless. You can try to bend it and not have it give. Looks like a winner and very competitive as far as other products. Shipped fast, got it before thanksgiving and used on my turkey cook!

I have had a Kamado Joe since 2012 and have had to deal with removing the cast iron grate to clean the ash from my grill after cooks. Having to pull out the remaining lump charcoal by hand was dirty and time consuming. This basket eliminates that and I can keep my grill cleaner between cooks than I would have been able to before with the stock setup.Is this a "knock-off" of the Kick Ash basket? Probably. But it is built very well, and is quite heavy. I have not noticed any problems with it at all and the increased airflow makes temperature control much, much easier. And, as mentioned earlier, clean-up between cooks is a breeze. When cooking steaks via reverse sear method, this basket allows me to quickly and easily bring the temps up to searing levels. I'm sold on this thing, it has been a solid investment so far.
