Worked pretty good, but buy extra springs/ prongs, they can break.

I have an Ego 21” self-propelled mower. I have about 9000 sf yard and have tried rake-thatching small portions the past couple years, which is a tough physical chore. This blade fit perfectly under the Ego upper blade. Determining the best setting/height was very easy. Does a great job dethatching and my limitation is the amount of battery power I have during each “session’. What I found best was first cut the grass very short. Install the dethatching blade then make a pass. Change blade so mower blades then make a couple passes to pick up the thatch. I found there was still a fair amount of thatch between grass blades so I raked, but the thatch is loose so raking isn’t nearly as much of a chore.

I was a bit skeptical about this product. But it turned out to be great.Easier than using a dethatching rake and simpler and more effective than renting a dethatcher at Home Depot. (The rental is very heavy - I needed to rent a small trailer to bring it home - and it is a push model with no powered wheels....... with the thatch that is picked up it clogs up quickly and you have to push through it)The Oregon dethatcher is light, quick and efficient. I used it on my Toro mower with barely any clogging. The price is just about right too. Quality is very good. I highly recommend it.

I bought this to dethatch dead grass to start over with new seeding. No need to rent a dethacher. Just buy this blade and add to your lawn mower. I mowed grass to the lowest level before starting to dethatch, with tine/ spring slightly penetrating the soil. It does good job in removing dead grass and expose enough of soil for seeding. I bought extra tine, just in case, but the original tine still seems almost new after 12k sq ft dethatching. I had good results after 3 weeks. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this to replace a broken one. Well made, thick metal blade, should hold its shape and balance. Springs are heavy gauge and should last a long time. The function was perfect.

As a Universal thatching blade, it's always a gamble as to whether or not this will work on your mower. I have an EGO 21" 56V self-propelled mower using the double-bladed high lift setup. When installing the thatching blade, you only need to remove the first (bottom) blade using the center bolt. Using the correct-sized washer insert, simply bolt in the Universal thatching blade with the top high lift blade left in place (it has two bolts, just leave them be). You will likely need to raise your deck height from your usual mowing level to keep from bogging down your mower. I do two passes, and I get about 4 times as much grass as when I do a regular mow.

DANGER: IF YOU USE THIS PRODUCT, DO NOT HAVE ANY ONE AROUND YOU IT CAN BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!!The springs on this are totally garbage. The rest of the unit seemed well designed and was easy to install, but the rake springs broke almost immediately. I only made 2 passes on my lawn which is about 56' wide, not even a 100'. The scary part is when they sheered off it hit my house. We were very luck, my son was working in the yard with me. It could have hurt him badly. They sheered off right next to the coil. These are cheap spring and I would not recommend these to anyone!

Springs are not the easiest to install. Seems to do an ok job detaching if you get the height right, but if you are not careful it will scalp the lawn in a hurry.

Parece que mata el pasto, pero en realidad sí cumple con su función y mejora la salud del pasto. Es recomendable combinar con otros tratamientos.
