OREiN Bathroom Fan with Light & Humidity Sensor, 160 CFM, 1.0 Sones

  • NOTE: Please put the light and fan on separate switches, the bath fan includes a light that must to be operated separately with an additional switch or double switch;
  • Powerful 160-CFM blower to provide a safe and comfortable living environment;
  • Built-in 18W 1500lm 3000/4000/5000K LED Light & 200lm 2200K Nightlight;
  • DUCTING - Removable 6 inch metal duct with back draft prevention damper;
  • To prevent the insulation from sliding down the duct, wrap the connections a few times with HVAC tape;
  • NOTE: The Install Size is 11.81 in x 11.02 in. Hold the housing up to the hole to check that your fan fits. If the hole is too small, trace the housing onto the ceiling and then cut the ceiling with a keyhole saw. If the original hole is too big, you’ll need to patch the ceiling. Cut a piece of drywall to make the ceiling hole the right size for your fan. Attach the drywall filler to a larger piece of wood; set it in the hole and drive screws through the ceiling into the wood. The patched areas can be repaired with spackling compound later.
  • Important: An insulated duct will help prevent condensation when the warm air from the bathroom meets the cold duct in the attic. To prevent the insulation from sliding down the duct, wrap the connections a few times with HVAC tape;
  • The deep corrugations of flexible ducting can easily flex into the opening and block the damper. Please use semi-rigid ducting, which is made of aluminum and has very shallow corrugations that allow you to flex it or stretch it.
  • NOTICE: If the light or the fan do not work, please make sure that the cables to the light and fan are properly connected. And this product only works with 120V;
  • That it is common practice in heating and ventilation systems using sheet metal ductwork and fittings or flexible duct work tubing to use duct tape or aluminum tape to ensure air tight seals and improve efficiency.
  • If the hole is too small, trace the housing onto the ceiling and then cut the ceiling with a keyhole saw. If the hole is too big, you’ll need to patch the ceiling. Cut a piece of drywall to make the ceiling hole the right size for your fan.

  • Make sure you are using a non-dimmer switch and that the switch contact is good; Make sure that the cables to the light and fan are properly connected. Only works with 120V; Make sure the wire connecting the lampshade to the housing is well inserted.

  • Check damper to ensure it is opening & closing properly; Be sure do not have any sharp bends in duct closer than 18 in. to the fan discharge; Use recommended size ducting to reduce fan noise; Be sure the fan is securely attached to ceiling joists.

  • Be sure a door or window is slightly ajar or opened to allow airflow; Be sure the fan is vented with the right size duct; The deep corrugations of flexible ducting may easily flex into the opening and block the damper, please use semi-rigid ducting.

  • Avoid venting through a soffit vent or ridge vent. The warm air will exhaust out the duct and enter back into the attic through it; An insulated duct will help prevent condensation when the warm air from the bathroom meets the cold duct in the attic.

This can be run from 1 switch or 2. Best to vent from the roof in my case. If you are a DIY-er you will have no issue installing this.

Failed. Returned 2 fans!Do not buy. I’m a builder-bought one for straight forward installation. Light flickered, fan failed. Returned it. The second one had same problem. Both times, electrician attempted installation. Also note this model has a 6” outlet but most ducts are 4”- big box stores don’t have adapters so be prepared.Also note, if it fails and you return it, your ceiling hole will be 12” square (this unit requires a 12” square.) But most fans on the market are about 9 3/4” square so you’ll have a Sheetrock repair too. Recommend you buy another, reliable brand to start with, not this one!

This fan not only helps eliminate the moisture created from using Hot water, but also helps in getting rid of those mal odors when using the bathroom, highly recommend replacing a small fan with this one , the auto On feature when it detects moisture in the bathroom is Great!! The option to use Bright to Medium lighting is also a plus.

Ah… the OREiN Energy Star Fan, using less energy than your kids’ excuses. Imagine stepping into your bathroom and feeling a fresh, clean breeze instead of the usual post-shower sauna. This fan does that, with 160CFM of airflow and whisper-quiet operation at just 1.0 sones—so quiet you might wonder if it’s working, until you see the steam vanish.The integrated LED light? Absolute genius. With 1500 lumens and selectable color temperatures (3000K, 4000K, 5000K), it’s like having a mini sun in your bathroom, adaptable to your every mood. And for those late-night bathroom trips, the nightlight is a life-saver, guiding you gently without blinding you.But the real magic is in the humidity sensor. It’s so sharp it could probably detect a drop of sweat on a hot day, kicking in automatically to keep your space dry and mold-free. Installation is straightforward, and the fan is HVI and ETL listed, so you know it’s safe and effective.This Energy Star certified marvel isn’t just about saving electricity; it’s about making your bathroom a better place. So go ahead, install this fan, and enjoy a bathroom that’s as fresh and bright as a crisp morning breeze.

Make sure the old fan is out first !!!get a 3 way plug as unit only came with 2 ways...(so fan & Light) and needs the bottom light unit plugged in before fan actually will work. Also, it's a 6" duct, what is exhaust pipe ? 4" ? you'll need the adaptor then (4 to 6) and all that proper DUCT TAPE ! :)serious good fan once running :)Really good product (as installed yesterday with buddy)

This installed very easy. Mostly plug & play. It’s a very quiet fan, & the light is a great feature. We had to adjust our exhaust size. Worth every penny.

Installation went smoothly, needed a second wire for the light, but that was OK. It is quiet and I like the light controls.

All in all, I've been very impressed with the performance of this vent fan. The automatic function via the humidity sensor is very reliable. The nightlight function is a convenience feature that I haven't found much use for, but I assume it would work well for shared bathrooms used by children. It is extremely quiet when operating.One point that needs to be noted carefully is the manual is NOT kidding about it needing to be anchored on both sides due to its weight. My installer tried to treat it like a normal vent fan and it actually tore loose and broke through the drywall under its own weight. Once it was installed per the instructions, it has worked as perfectly as I could hope.
