I feel ripped off with this product. It barely lasts 30 minutes on full power. It charges with USB-A. It’s overpriced and underpowered.

This does work okay for the pocket 3. The only issue is it works for the lens pointed at you. If you need to aim at a subject, you are in for an issue. But if you are doing talking head video you are just fine.

This is a wonderful little fill light for your Osmo Pocket 3, I love that it just clips onto the gimbal so that it's always pointing the right direction. Don't expect this thing to brighten up a whole room but for selfie style shots in the dark this will keep your face lit enough so it's not so grainy. If you keep your expectations (and plans) in that realm I think you'll have a wonderful time with this

This light is made to clip onto the gimbal of a DJI Osmo Pocket 3. It's made to rotate with the gimbal, as it tracks the subject. In order to do this, without affecting the gimbal's calibration, it must be VERY light. The light head AND Mount, together, weighs just 15g. For comparison, a AAA battery weighs 12g. It doesn't put out much light, because there simply isn't a battery that is light enough AND powerful enough to put out a lot of light. This light isn't going to adequately light a panorama shot of any room much bigger than a closet. However, what it CAN do, and do reasonably well, is provide fill light for a selfie clip. I went to the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. Apropos to the venue, I wore a western hat. Standing under a light, the hat cast shadows on my face. The light did a pretty good job of filling those shadows. I didn't even need full power. You can buy clamp-on adapters with cold shoe mounts that will let you mount bigger, more powerful lights. But they won't track automatically with the gimbal. This light will. So if you need a light to provide fill for selfie clips, and you want it to track (pan axis) with the gimbal, this light should work. But it's not, and cannot possibly be, a general-purpose light. It's like Paul Simon's One Trick Pony: It's just a one trick pony, that's all it is. But it turns that trick with pride.

I really wanted to like this LED auxiliary light for my Pocket 3 camera. I was hopeful I would be able to write a positive review to counter the bad reviews. I mean, yes, it’s charged via a micro-USB port vs USB-C like they claim, but that’s not really a big deal. So, I got the LED light, charged it up… Wait! Where’s the charging light? How do I know it’s charging? How do I know when it’s fully charged? You don’t. You guess. Okay, I left it on for way more than enough time to charge it fully.Turned it on full brightness and set the timer. 30 minutes later, it’s still on, but it’s so dim that it wouldn’t really light anything at all. Still going after an hour, but you can barely see the glow of the LED’s. Yeah, it’d last longer if I set it on a lower setting with less LED’s on, but it was only 14 foot-candles on full. Yeah, according to my measurements, your incandescent night light is over 10 times brighter. It will “light up” something up to 6’ or 7’ away, but not very well. It adds a little bit of fill light, but that’s all.I opened up the light to see what type of battery it had. It’s a lithium ion battery rated at 55 mAh and 0.203Wh. I measured the max brightness and estimated it to be at about 0.23 watts, so I wasn’t too far off. But the BIG key is the 55 mAh battery. They claim it is 180 mAh. It’s less than 1/3 of their claim. They claim 1.4 hours. Not even close, not even 30 minutes with all 9 LED’s on.Amazon Vine sent this product to me for an honest unbiased review. Would I recommend it for others? Well, I didn’t even mention the cheap build quality because that’s not as important as the rest of the bad news. No. Save your money.

I'm starting to record some self recording videos on the Osmo Pocket and I love how this thing adds a consistent amount of light in the shot. You have various lighting modes you can choose from and it fits relatively nice on the neck of the gimbal. The one thing I would say is outdated is the micro usb charging... It really should be USB C at this point since most devices standardize on that and even the Osmo pocket charges via USB C.
