I have several patio heaters and recently had two that stubbornly refused to remain lit when transitioning to heat. I suspected (correctly) the thermocouple assembly as the problem. I've done these kind of part changeouts before - no issues in the past but the two heaters I worked on have already had 3 heating seasons so I am offering a bit of caution to those of you who are easily frustrated - screws holding the thermocouple (and ignitor) to the heating plate frequently corrode in place and are easily broken off or frozen requiring extraction. Not the fault of the kit, just be prepared for a more extensive teardown than you may have planned for. The kit itself is excellent - exact fit for my H@^pton B@4 heaters. This is an easy 30-45 minute repair unless your heater is getting older in which case allocate a couple of hours for teardown and repair. Enjoy!

I have been having issues with my outdoor heater for a long time, and this was the answer to fix it!You need to know what you are doing to replace this, but my hope/guess is that anyone ordering this knows what they are ordering, and how to use it.
