The description says: "Outsura Carbon Fiber Trekking Poles" at 7.4 ounces. The product shipped was aluminum, not carbon fiber, and weighed 9 ounces. If there are dimples in the shaft as shown in the attached picture, it is an aluminum shaft. If this manufacturing process was used on carbon fiber shafts, it would shatter them.Other than misrepresenting what is being sold, it is a nice product. Since it is misrepresented, they are being returned.Note, there is no vendor support available, just Amazon customer service.

These poles are lightweight yet incredibly sturdy, offering great support on all kinds of terrain. Not carbon fiber, aluminum unfortunately, they work well, but they're not what they're supposed to be, so obviously, I'm disappointed

I recentlyhd back surgery and need assistance walking. These trekking poles are exactly what I needed because my cane makes me walk bent over. The poles on the other hand help me walk straighter. The only problem is needing 2 hands to handle the poles. They were a good buy, are light weight to carry and easy to use. It was $ well spent.

The ad for trekking poles is carbon fiber but the data sheet that came with them says aluminum.If anyone has the same discrepancy, please post. Iโm not able to tell yea or nay. Now I would like your feedback.

I just recently got these hiking poles and I love them. I picked out the orange color since it was my favorite. They can go plenty tall for me, as I am 6ft and generally set my hiking poles to be higher than the average person. Also, the grips and the wrist straps come in handy because it's easier for your forearms. Carbon fiber shaft makes these fairly lightweight - not as lightweight as some hiking poles I've tried before. What makes them versatile is the different tips and attachments they have.Some of the accessories:- Regular flat rubber tip - useful for whenever you don't want to damage the actual tips or are required to use them- Snow basket - I personally don't do a lot of hiking in the winter, so I don't find these useful but some could. They are removable and screw-on which I think is very smart.- "Rolling tips" - I'm not exactly sure what the technical term for these is but these can also help alleviate wrist and hand stress by allowing the hiking pole to "roll" more- Regular carbide tips - standard like other hiking poles - nothing special here.- Low profile basket - I never find myself using this but this can also be useful. Screws on like the snow basket.I use the regular carbide tips the most often. Overall, very nice hiking poles, especially for the price. High grade, not top-of-the-line like some brands, but those are usually in the neighborhood of twice the price. Well worth it for the money.

I bought this pairs to replace our old ones for our Mt. Baldy Hike. It was so light and strong at the same time, I loved it.
