I used this for several pomegranates and it works wonderfully! However, it is made of plastic and I guess I used too much strength because it broke!

So easy to use if you're a pomegranate lover. We eat lots when they're in season. Much cleaner and faster than trying to get the seeds out by hand. We use a metal soup ladle to bang on the rubber lid, and the seeds fall into the bowl. You have to whack the thing pretty hard, then you pick out the bits of white pulp, and throw those away with the outer rind. We put in yogurt or cottage cheese, and it's a great snack . keeps your fingers from getting all stained. We've had two, the first one broke after about 10 years (the plastic bowl cracked. We have also used the screen and rubber cap with a similar sized bowl that we had. It's a handy tool to have.

Great product for pomegranate lovers. But, the wooden mallet is to small and very light weight. We use a spatula with this product and it works well.

Game changer in pomegranate deseeding. I used to do it in the sink over a large bowl filled with water and spanking the pommies with spatula. This little gem is better, faster mouse trap. Even though it splatters a little, even with a silicone cover on, it’s nothing compared to my original method.

Bought this project on a recommendation from a friend, who was clearly pulling my leg. It broke upon its very first (gentle) use. Not very effective, and I and I ended up with pomegranate juice on my fingers and counter anyway because I had to still dig in with my fingers! Such a poor design! Will return as is clearly defective.

Picking the seeds the normal way kept my addiction in check but since I got this thing I can’t buy that pomegranate crack fast enough..🤪

My neighbor recently brought me a bag of pomegranates off her tree. I was excited to have them but not to deseed them all. All I could think about was how messy that would be. Voila, I found this little tool on Amazon which arrived today. Pomegranate deseeded in seconds - no muss, no fuss - no red juice all over my clothes and my kitchen. Few short taps with a wooded mallet to separate the skin then added some water to the bowl to separate the little bits of pith from the seeds (the pith easily rises to the top), picked off the pith, strained the seeds and done. Success! Ordering another one to gift to my neighbor.

The only thing I think could be improved is the lid slips. But this thing works and it’s easy. I’mPretty impressed.
