Material is way too tight and not stretchable on my dog. Also even if you measure your dogs size, the suit will not fit. Not even close. So I would recommend to take at least 1 to 2 sizes bigger than you measured. This was a complete letdown.Also material is more like a bathing suit material, just not stretchable. Disappointed!

I ordered this recovery suit for my puppy to wear after her spay surgery and at first I really liked it.The material is nice, not too thick, and stretchy, and it fit her well. For reference, I ordered a Small and my pup is a 10 lb Havanese who wears clothes frequently without any complaints. As soon as I got her in this and got it velcro'd up she seemed totally comfortable and ran around playing in it. I, of course, washed it before her surgery; and I truly believe it shrunk, even though I washed it on cold and hung it up to dry, because after her spay it was definitely a little tight. Also, the velcro is extremely good which makes it difficult to get it undone quickly when she needs to go potty. Which isn't great when a small puppy needs to pee "right now!!" If your pup is on the border of these measurements size up! It's definitely too tight for her to now be comfortable in it with her sutures that I need to be extra careful around.Overall, while she didn't mind wearing this initially, I didn't like the way it fit once I'd washed it and, thought it was unfortunate that it shrunk. Now, she can't use this during her spay recovery, so I'd suggest to others that if you choose to get this, to size up!
