I run sound for my church. I got this in ear monitor to use to test if a cable is causing the loss of signal or if it the instrument or something else in line with it. Its well made and the sound is clean. I do not hear any noise even with the volume knob turned up all the way with nothing plugged in to the input side. So the amp is very clean. I like that it will except XLR and TRS plugs.

Built like a tank. You can use this in stereo or mono. For a stationary instrument player like me these work. Since they are active be careful with volume when first turning on. Clip is useful. Battery placement is not good, too hard to change. Other similar p2 amps have batteries that are easier to reach.

This is an excellent accessory for any musician-especially guitar and bass players. It will allow for private playing as an interface from any amplifier. So your 100 Watt Marshall becomes a bedroom practice amp with ease.I like the form factor-which is small enough to carry, with controls that don't requie a magnifying glass to see.Recommended.

I tested this out with a simple audio in/out setup and was amazed how much extra volume this thing puts out. And like another reviewer said, it's built like a tank and doesn't feel cheap. The volume control is smooth and doesn't cause any scratchiness in the audio output when adjusting the volume. If you're looking to a small, portable way to get more volume out of your audio devices, you can't go wrong with this. I'm adding this to my podcasting equipment.

This is a nice portable solution to have for musicians. It can also come in a pinch for recording audio without a mixer. It does require two AAA batteries that should last up to 10 hours which should be more than enough for a gig night. Getting to the battery housing is a bit of a pain but not too time consuming to count against it in my opinion. That said, I wouldn't use dollar store batteries with it for a paying gig.To use, simply plug in your XLR/TRS microphone or other input devices into its only compatible port. Then, plug a 3.5mm cable into a pair of monitor headphones or the line-in port of your recording device. You'll enjoy a wide range of compatibility with respect to usable devices so long as they don't require phantom power. The device shows RGB lighting to indicate volume levels that should certainly come handy in dark places. But I'm not sure if there's a need to adjust volume on an on-the-fly basis for it to matter in a meaningful way other than looking pretty. To close, I really dig its no-frills performance coupled with its solid, all-around metal construction. I guess the downside is the fact that the battery needs to be swapped frequently but it is a portable solution after all. 5 stars for what it is, a budget portable amp at the end of the day.
