Good value kit for upgrading guitar tone pots. However, it didn't impress me. I experiment with do it yourself tone and volume mods and I don't see any significant advantage with this kit other than it's a kit. It is a "one size fits all" approach which in my upgrades to Start and Tele clones has not given me the tone improvement I was seeking over trial and error treble bleeds (varying capacitor and resistor values).

I installed one of each of these in my Telecaster and my Strat-shaped partscaster (that has a blender pot and Fender Yosemite flat-pole pickups) and it is such a pronounced and amazing change that my non-musician friends paused what they were doing to listen to and comment on how amazing it sounds now.I'm not sure how well it would work with a staggered-pole strat pickup or a P-90, but with flat-poled pickups it sounds amazing.BTW, I accidentally installed it backwards BOTH TIMES. It's super easy to install backwards and also super easy to reverse.

I gave these a try in a strat and a double jet. It's like a tone circuit with a treble bleed, as far as I can tell. I like that the treble roll-off is less drastic than a regular tone circuit, but I rarely use the tone anyway, it's usually at 10 (bypassed) anyway. I guess if you use your tone control alot, this might be of more use to you than it was to me. It does what it says it does, though, and it's easy enough to solder in or remove if you want to try soemthing else.

I have been building and modding my own guitars for over 20 years. After a while everything is built to suit my vibe. This kit gave me a new dimension to grab and get some different tones. I installed mine in an inexpensive diy budget build. Good vibes!
