loops were tight and cables are stiff so it took some doing to get them on the door. But they are heavy duty are working fine. Not sure about the durability yet. ask me again in ten years.

Cables fit like the originals. No issues with installation or operation. As long as you know how to deal with the spring, there should be no problem installing these replacement cables.

Good quality cable, one issue is that I could not replace it, beyond scope of what I felt comfortable doing.

Perfect git. Easy installation. Couldn't be more happier. Very satisfied with this product. Hope it holds up for another 30 years like the old one did.

I installed them with the garage door fully open. This is the position where the torsions springs have no load and safer. Very easy to install, I had my grandson do it with my supervision. Can’t beat the price and fast delivery!! Amazon strikes again!!

Recieved these this afternoon. Took about an hour to install but half that time was cleaning the rust off the pin on one side where my original cable broke due to rust. Installed fine. Tested the door thoroughly and didn't even need any adjustments after install. They're a little thicker than my originals but still fit the roller fine. Saved me $200+ I'm sure. Can't speak to durability or longevity yet but they seemed well built to me.

This was the exact size I needed, unlike what my local home improvement center had in stock. The price was so cheap I thought Id take a chance anyways and fortunately it worked out. Word of caution to the DIYers please be careful with garage doors in general and do your research first or leave it to the professionals.

I'm a do it yourself-er, and usually not afraid to try to fix anything. This one scared me a little as we have an extremely heavy garage door so the springs are under a huge amount of tension, especially when closed. Also, some Youtube vides suggested there was some tweaking of the spring position, etc. I decided to give it a try, and found that it works well without any tweaking.Could not find these cables anywhere else, so grateful to find here. While I was waiting for these cables to arrive, I removed power from the garage door opener (pulled the plug) removed the defective cable, and then released tension on the non defective one so it could also be removed, and the garage could be closed. There are ways to do this by using vice grips. Youtube it. Be careful. Do this with the garage door completely open. Essentially you can turn the "shaft" that the pulleys are on to release tension. Make sure you vice grips the rails by the rollers so the garage door doesn't come crashing down when you remove the cable. Some doors are unbelievably heavy like ours.Once you get the cables, wrap them back on with the garage door completely open. The hardest part for me was knowing how many wraps. I wrapped them until there was a bit of tension on the pulleys. Success. The garage door has been going up and down successfully for about 3 weeks now.

The description of these cables "Pair of 7' Garage Door Cable for Torsion Springs" drives me crazy. The cables are about 8' 6." They are not 7 feet long. I had to read buyers' comments to figure out if they were the right ones. Nowhere in the description did it say now long they were. (Hopefully the seller will revise this.)Anyway, they're very sturdy and did the job perfectly. Do yourself a favor and watch several YouTube videos before you attempt the job. Actually, the first video that came up in my search was the best one by far. I watched it several times. I would recommend watching the videos before you place your order, to make sure you are comfortable doing the repair. You need a ladder or tall step stool. At least one pair of vice-grips is very good to have -- two pair would be better. A second person on hand was also useful for me, to help raise the garage door.Anyway, I saved a ton of money doing this myself. Got dirty, but that's half the fun!
