The base of the PST7 is CuSn8 bronze derived from the legendary 2002 series. The cymbal is lathed by Swiss artisans, to achieve its unique traditional look and finish. The PST7 has a wide range of different music styles by offering a warm, whole, clear sound as well as three weight classes, light/thin, medium, heavy.

I just got this China Cymbal , 14 inch version. It is superior to the other Meinl one that I returned. A nice crisp sound that compliments the other Paiste PST 7s and 8s in my drum kit. I played the Meinl China and Sabian's BR8 China Cymbal, yes they were smaller sized, but did not produce the sound quality of this Paiste one. I also enjoy the 8 inch Splash cymbal from Paiste PST 7 model. I ha e become a big fan of Paist And they offer excellent customer service by responding quickly to email inquiries about their products. A definite thumbs UP.

Great sounding China. Exactly what I was looking for. Like the whole PST7 line. This accompanies PST7 hi-hat, 16 and 18 crash and 20 ride.

Great cymbal, I love the 18" version but the 14" would make for a great stack. I purchased this one by mistake so I returned it but I have half a mind to buy it again to add with my 18" only stack it with one of the 14" or 16" PST7 thin crashes. It will not leave you wanted especially considering the next best thing(Zildjian Oriental Trash China) is $200 more. The Alloy is very musical but at the same time it is packed with an energy that is very versatile and tough to beat regardless of price.
