My son and I got spoiled by a pair of Outdoor Research gloves that used these cord locks. The ability to tighten and loosen the drawstring on the gauntlet of the glove with one hand easily (no fumbling to press the sides of the cord lock while yanking) is such a useful feature that when we buy gloves (like the awesome Showa Temres 282-02) that don't have these specific cord locks, we spend 20 mins a pair sewing to swap out the cord locks with these. We sew the pull tab on one end (I use 3/8" webbing). We remove the pull from the drawstring to get the old cord lock out of the way. We sew a new attachment (I use 1/4" grossgrain ribbon) for the new cord lock to the base of the old attachment. We cut off the old cord lock. We thread the drawstring through the new cord lock and add the pull back on. All worth it!
