Part is an aftermarket part but did fit my old Briggs and Stratton engine with no issues and resolved the no start/no spark issue. Old mower is up and running again. Price is good.

The coil was for a dear friend. It was far easier to order from Amazon than dealing with the local small motor shop who never returns the calls.It went well without issues and ran perfectly I only wish he'd cut the dam lawn.

This replacement solved my failed ignition problem. The best part of the description was the size between mounting holes pictured which compared perfectly with my old unit. This gave me confidence that the unit would fit perfectly.

I couldn't really tell if this worked or not as my mower didn't start before I put it on, or after. Eventually I learned it had a broken piston or connecting rod.It fit correctly though.

My mower was very rusty from being left outside all winter last year. I couldn't reuse the old coil, so I cleaned up the flywheel with some scotchbrite and screwed in the new coil and it started right up.

Got me back running, perfect fit. Unfortunately, something internal broke trashing the motor. I'm saving the coil for future use.
