This safety harness is light but strong. Perfect for keeping a dog in the back seat where he belongs. Getting out is easy. There's a ring in the middle of the harness, just behind his head. All you need to do is unlatch the ring (leave the seatbelt belted) and use your regular collar. When you're heading home, just latch the ring, all safe and secure. Attach the ring back on the harness.

I bought 2 of these for my two dogs. I like how easy it is to adjust to fit. They're super easy to use. The colors are great and don't fade easily. I feel my dogs are significantly safer in my car with these, as it keeps them in the back seat, and if installed correctly, keeps them off the doors and from jumping out of the car immediately when the door is open.The harness does not make it easier to handle a pet who pulls hard on walks. And if not fitted properly, they can back out of it pretty easily.

We got a 14 lb German shepherd that howled PITIFULLY in her crate on the 2 hour ride to her first home - expected, but still a tough journey. First goal was to get her used to the car in a harness, so we got a both small & medium ones figuring she'd soon grow into the larger one.Well fast forward 4 months and Lilly's tripled her weight and now in a large size harness. We use a car veered steel cable (similar to what is sold as a tie out but shorter) that clips right into our vehicle's LATCH system and off we go! We love that we can customize the fit around her chest and under her belly - a perfect fit every time! She eagerly runs into the unclipped harness knowing there is exciting (and comfortable!) travel in store. This product is a home run - we met our first goal for Lilly to learn to love car rides thanks to this product!

I purchased the PAWABOO Dog Safety Vest Harness in size medium, color black, for our 12 pound mini-Poodle. The adjustable vest was a perfect fit for our dog, it's easy to get it on/off, and the dog acts like it's comfortable to wear. The seat belt lead clips securely into our car's seat beat buckle (but check the seller's product info for vehicle type, as there might be some exceptions); and easily attaches or can be removed from the vest harness. We had not used any kind of device to secure our dog in the car before, but wanted the added safety. This device definitely keeps our dog from "roaming" the car after being secured in, and that's good for driver and dog safety. This device is best for back seat use - if used in the front passenger seat, in addition to air bag safety concerns, the dog will be able to easily get to the driver's seat. The device also ensures your dog can't exit the vehicle until you release them. We're still experimenting with the best length to use on the seat belt lead, to get the right balance between dog's comfort and safety. Except for making it so short the dog can't stand or sit up (which isn't an okay or intended solution), our dog is still able to get its body (but not its front end) off the car seat or get its back end tumbled off the seat in a fast braking situation. Overall our dog is more secure than without the device, and we're pleased with that - especially at the price of this device compared to some other solutions. Added bonus for us is the vest harness is also great as a walking harness, so we've gotten double the use from it.

Bought for 11 week old German Shepherd to use mainly as a harness. When reading size chart got concerned that this 13.6 lb PUPPY would wear a large especially when there are 50lb dogs in a large. I read reviews and asked opinions and ended up choosing a large. Glad I did it's perfect fit. Trust the chart based on pets measurements not weight, hers were 13" neck /17" girth . Dog doesn't mind this harness. It's has nice padding on chest( in case of automobile braking )and it will grow with her as it's at smallest size it will get, I just hope it lasts thru the many washes. It's not a step in but once it's sized I was able to keep it clipped and just slip it over her head, although this probably won't work for everyone. The seatbelt portion looks short as though dog can't jump up to look out the window I will test this and update review. The clips are thick and connect tightly. I noticed that if the straps were to long you could use a ziptie to attach them to harness do they don't hang. I also think it's a nice looking harness and is well made not at all cheap looking or feeling the price is great to, your not just getting a harness your also getting a seat belt. One reviewer said a collar isn't good for car use. Think about that for a second I imagine a collar clip only could break your pets neck in an accident. Worth every penny!

Followed the measurements guide and this harness fit our 17lb dog nicely. Second time we used it, after putting him in the harness, he chewed through two of the straps in about 3 minutes before we even got to the car. Chewed right through the straps in no time at all. Didn't even see it happen it was so fast. Even though I was slightly impressed by his ability to escape the harness, I was disappointed in that this harness is now useless. The straps feel like normal nylon straps although a bit "silky" (which probably is more comfortable) so I don't know if this is actually an issue with the product or with the dog. The harness was installed snugly on the dog but he was still able to contort himself to get his jaws under the straps. Also the seat belt attachment would not fit in the front seat belt clip but it did work in the back seat. Not sure if this is intentional or not. It's a 2006 Subaru Outback.
