I tried to save some money and get a cheap amplifier. The universe taught me a lesson. It didn't work and actually made the signal worse. The pixelated stations didn't come in at all and the previously good stations were now pixelating.Immediately returned it and got a channel master amplifier. That amplifier worked perfectly. It costs more but there is a reason - it works.

I was able to replace the old Radio Shack devices with this, reducing the clutter of lines. And I was extremely pleased with how many channels came in that didn't come in before. Now, I can watch PBS again and so many other channels that I've not seen in years. I was worried that our antenna was positioned wrong but it isn't. Even a woman like me, could do this reconfiguration and installation.BTW: Three of our four TVs are hooked up to this device; they all get more channels but the TV that's physically furthest away from the device doesn't get quite as many more channels. Still, I'm completely satisfied with the results. Also, though the manufacturer says it should only be used indoors, I have the device located in a covered outdoor spa area close to where the antenna input cable. I prevent any raindrops being blown in on the device, I improved a protective cover using the original manufacturer's box. If after some years it goes defunct, I'll buy another one as it's priced just right.

This splitter has two inputs, one for an antenna that you can use if the antenna is not amplified, and another for an antenna that is amplified, and in that case the splitter feeds 5 volts to the antenna to power the amplifier. I am about 50 miles from a big metropolitan area, and I just use a small amplified antenna in a window facing toward all the transmitters. Then you just connect up to four TV receivers or HDHomeRun tuners to the outputs and it feeds them all with the same signal. It works well for me. Recommended!

I have a PBD Digital HD Yogi Antenna with a PBD HDTV Preamplifier installed on my house. This setup works very well for bringing in weak stations with one exception, if you connect more than 2 TV's I would lose some of the stations or have pixilation. I have 3 TVs and needed something that would provide a strong and steady signal to all of them at the same time.Purchased the PBD CX-4FA and installed it as instructed and hooked up all 3 TVs (you can hookup 4) and tried them all at the same time and had NO pixilation or lose of signal. The setting up took me about 10 minutes. I am VERY PLEASED with the performance of the HD Smart Boost Antenna Amplifier. It does what it says it does and without any hassle.I have had several contacts with PBD customer service and they have always gotten back with me within 24 hours. This Company and Service personal are truly dedicated to solving customer problems and furnishing them with a quality solution to TV reception. They want you to be happy with them and your TV viewing.I would not hesitate in buying their products. Thanks PBD for your help and for having a quality solution to OTA TV reception.
