I am actually surprised. After reading some reviews and looking on there website before purchase I took the plunge and purchased. I am using this in a older Windows 7 PC that I use for some Photoshop work and occasional older game play plus a very still functional selphy photo printer that I can still purchase the printer cartridges for and use. With the usual need to transfer data through usb devices for back up and to use on my main pc. The transfer speeds are faster than expected with actual usb 3 speeds and all I had to do was go on there website and download the driver needed and follow there instructions, which i personally found easy. What can I say other than its turned out a good but and also has a socket that allows a Front USB 3 socket as well as having the couple of usb 3 ports at the back.

Habe dieses Produkt im Februar diesen Jahres gekauft, leider ist die Karte vor zwei Wochen aufgeraucht. Es roch stark nach Elektronik und bei genauerem Hinsehen stellte ich fest, dass ein Chip auf der Karte durchgeschmort ist.Schade!Udate zur Rezension.Nachdem ich diese Produkt schlecht bewertet hatte, hat sich 10Gtek 3 Tage danach bei mir gemeldet und fragte nach einem Foto der defekten Karte. Diesem Wunsch kam ich nach, und was soll ich sagen, innerhalb einer Woche habe ich ein neues Exemplar bekommen.Diese Karte ist jetzt verbaut und verrichtet nun ihren Dienst. Ein Langzeittest steht freilich noch aus.

die Verarbeitung des SATA Stromanschlusses auf der Karte war echt dürftig und wackelte etwas. Das schien anfangs nur mechanisch zu sein, stellte sich aber später im Betrieb als Totalausfall des PC heraus. Denn sobald man den SATA Stromstecker vom Netzteil in die Buchse auf der Karte steckte, schaltete das Netzteil sofort aus. Diagnose: Kurzschluss auf der Karte und Sicherheitsabschaltung durch das Netzteil!Habe die Karte als defekt retourniert und mein Geld zurück erhalten.

A small cheap well working upgrade card for my old computer. The USB bus of my 15-year-old motherboard does not work like it did when it was new, this card works great it's brand new and now I can use my Bluetooth headphones in it without the bus crashing and the sound screwing up. I have not tested it for data transfer yet but as for the specs I'm sure it will be fine. Yay no more USB bus crashes A++. Oh and it installed in a few minutes no problems at all.

Just what the doctor ordered! Very happy with card. Proper USB 3 speeds and it was easy to install. I have three SSD's in my tower, Each one has a different operating system on it: Windows 10 Pro, Linux Mint Cinnamon and ReactOS. No problems with all three.

Installed the "PCIe to (4) USB 3.0 Expansion Card,PCIe USB Add in Card" today. After bootup the card is indeed Linux compatible (I am using it with Linux) and I now have about 108MB/sec read/write speeds to an external USB3 hard drive. On USB2 the exact same drive achieved at most about 28MB/sec read/write speeds.Very pleased with the card, and the value for the money, at the moment. One other review mentioned their card went out after a short period of time. Hopefully that does not happen with mine. I'll add an update after some time on the card.But, right now, the card is recommended if you need to add USB3 ports to a Linux machine and you have a free PCIe slot. I have the card plugged into a PCIe X4 slot, it is working just fine at X1 (which is what is supposed to happen).Update July 30, 2023: It has been almost four months since I installed this PCIe to USB3 card. Over the course of those four months the card has worked flawlessly. No issues, and performance is the same today as when I first installed the card. I am very pleased with this purchase. The single aspect I have not tested is attempting to draw significant current from the USB3 ports. The external drive I have attached is a powered USB3 to SATA dock and so it does not draw any significant power from the card. So I can't comment on how well the card provides high power output. But for use as a high-speed I/O interface to external disks or other USB3 devices, the card has worked wonderfully.

When I bought a new case for my old pc I was left with a front port 3.0 cable without use because my board did not have anywhere to plug it. Now, with additional two more ports on the back I have the 3.0 connected to the PCi slot. It works just like it does on new pcs.

I was initially satisfied with this product, it installed easily and started to work right away with Windows 10. However as I used it I realized that there was a delay/freezing with my mouse that I plugged into it so I checked each port. Same results on each of the 4 USB ports. While working with the mouse it freezes for a few seconds then resumes. This happens several times an hour. I tried a few other mouses and get the same results, I also moved it to another slot and again the same results? I also plugged in a few other USB items and get the same momentary freezing (music, Printing, etc) as with the mouse.Has anyone else had this issue? It's workable, since the mouse is the most notable I can plug it into another onboard port but shouldn't have to adapt for a defective board and may have to return it and look for another product.Lastly it looks like this may have been a returned item based on the condition of the box and how it was wrapped inside? Hmmm maybe the person had the same issue and sadly it was returned to stock.UPDATE:I contacted the company and they offered excellent support and determined that the card was bad and offered a replacement. Based on the condition of the box and inside wrapping it appears that the card was returned and put back in stock. They responded quickly to my initial contact and worked with me until was resolved. Great company and Amazing support of their product. I would recommend them to anyone who needs their type product.
