I have a 2010 5,1 Mac Pro running Mojave. I recently bought a LaCie d2 8TB External HDD with type C connector and realized I had no way to plug it in since my card was a Sonnet USB 3 only. I tried using a USB C to USB 3 cable but as expected, the speed was dreadfully slow. This card was the answer and I'm getting better than 244 MB/s read and write speeds (See photo). Now that I know it works I upgraded to their card with 3 type C inputs and 2 USB 3.2 inputs.

Easy install all ports work but not all transfer atbthe same rate? Good enough for the money spent I guess.

Tried to use this for my Mac Pro 4.1 rebuild but didn’t work, even though it claims to work with MacOS. Too bad!Probably a great product for someone who needs it on a Windows environment though!

My pc was running perfectly fine for months until I installed this PCIe card - started getting some blue-screens randomly, to the point where I actually couldn't use the PC at all. Had to order a new motherboard and replace it, didn't install the USB card again and so far so good. Wouldn't recommend at all - get one from a trusted brand.

The Yeeliya PCIe USB card is an excellent way to add USB 3.0 and Type-C ports to a Mac Pro 5,1 Mid 2010 running macOS Mojave. Installation was plug-and-play and worked out of the box. This card is based on the Fresco Logic FL1100 chipset with built-in drivers and no messy additional power cables required. After installation I conducted several tests by attaching a variety of USB devices to each port then put the Mac Pro through a few shutdowns and restarts and tested for any sleep/wake issues. So far so good. Recommended. 5*****Stars.

I picked up a 2010 5,1 Mac Pro with 2x 2.93mhz Xeon processors. I wanted a project to play around with during quarantine and this seemed like a good one. Installed the card and powered up. It was immediately detected and I was able to test it out with a few different USB sticks.I'm currently charging my iPad through the USB C port and it's working as expected. Not as fast as a dedicated charger but it's working.I didn't bench it. All I really wanted to find out was whether or not it worked, and it worked. I'll update this review if something comes up that is important.

This was exactly what I was looking for. The mATX motherboard I've selected was skimpy on rear USB ports, and I have to plug in a UPS, printer, card reader, USB hub, mouse, keyboard, and a webcam.Key attributes for me:- Doesn't require additional internal power supply cable, uses power from the PCI slot and regulates it for USB- Black slot case (matches my case)- Mix of A- and C- type connectors- Great price- Small card size, easy to integrate and install
