This is a very cheap kit. Does it work? Yes, but did it require additional pieces to work correctly? Also, Yes! The wall plate opening is 2.5" while the hose is 2" so if you installed it like that there would be a huge gap. Since this is for the fresh air and not heated air I wanted a tight fit so $4 at the hardware store I was able to get a wall plate with a 2" hole. Also, no sealer for the outdoor air grate just 2 screws. I had leftover sealer from another job so luckily that did not cost any extra. Not sure on the longevity given all parts feel very cheap but it did work, with extra parts, and time will tell on the longevity.

Was easy to install and the hardware quality is decent. I also like that there is a screen on the outside vent to keep the bugs and critters out.

We've had a Harman P43 pellet stove for well over a decade, and have been toying with the idea of installing an Outside Air intake Kit (OAK). I saw this at a pretty low price so I decided to get it. Unfortunately I was unable to install it due to multiple reasons.Out of the box, it looked a bit cheap with the semi-rigid duct slightly frayed/"unspiraled" to begin with. I then realized what other reviewers mentioned: the escutcheon is about ~1/2" larger than the duct itself, requiring me to pick up a smaller, actually 2" escutcheon. Additionally, the duct was extremely tight on the outside cap, requiring me to "unspiral" the duct to make it fit. On a positive note, the outside cap looks pretty well-made.After all of that, I discovered that the 2" duct was too small for my Harman P43 stove! The P43 requires a 2 3/8" duct. This was not the fault of the product, but it was probably all for the best. Don't let the low price fool you--this isn't a great product.
