What is matcha green tea?
Matcha, ma (ground) cha (tea) is made by taking green tea leaves from the camellia sinensis (tea plant) and grinding them into a fine matcha powder which you can enjoy in a smoothie, a matcha latte, or traditionally with hot water for a tea. Perfect Ted organic matcha powder is shade grown and single origin, from Uji, the renowned matcha powder growing region in Japan. This authentic green tea is handpicked from local sustainable farms in Uji Japan to bring you the best quality organic, ceremonial grade matcha.
What does matcha taste like?
You may have tried matcha powder once and been put off by bitterness, or a strong seaweedy, perhaps even fishy aroma, but matcha powder, much like coffee can have a bitterness to it depending on your palette, so you need to figure out how you like it. Matcha powder just with hot water should be thought of as your shot of espresso: strong and punchy, whereas topped with hot frothy milk for a matcha latte is the way to go if you like things on the gentler side. We love it with oat milk as oats have a natural sweetness that compliments the umami sweetness of our organic matcha latte powder.

Matcha contains roughly 50x more antioxidants per gram than spinach. So, is matcha tea good for you? I saw an ad for this brand of matcha stating it was superior, not bitter, and not grassy. I figured I'd give it a try as I was going to buy more any way. It is SO MUCH better than what I've purchased before. It is very smooth and much easier to drink. I drink it as straight tea (nothing added) and it is very pleasant. I'm highly impressed by this product.

Exactly tastes like blank street! Saves you so much money too! Goes well with white chocolate, rose syrup and other flavours too! It also has health benefits which is a bonus. Good price compared to other places.

I'm an experienced matcha powder consumer and this is obviously a higher quality. You can tell with the color and smell immediately it's a higher grade. Excellent. Takes a long time to come but independently you would pay $45 for shipping alone

I didn’t know what to expect from this purchase. But on making a cup of this Matcha was delightful. Tastes delicious. For the untamed tongue it could be described as tasting like seaweed but if you’re used to taking Spirulina (seaweed) then you will appreciate the significant difference. It’s creamy and pleasant and full of goodness!! I am pleased with my purchases and I am on my 3rd package. It says 30 servings but I find I’m getting through it quickly and less than 30 servings but I’m probably using too much each time. It’s the same serving size as the packets sold in other venues such as H&B but cheaper ! Unless you’re buying a larger packet of course.Thoroughly enjoying the taste, texture and benefiting from all the polyphenols !!

Great matcha, finished the packet in around 2 weeks! Wish there was more though however they live up to their motto of not tasting like grass. Very nice green color you’d expect from uni matcha.

I bought this matcha recently and it was very nice however when I bought the vanilla flavour it tasted awful I don't know if it's just the vanilla flavor or I just got a bad batch however I would recommend buying the base matcha just wished they had a bigger size
