Great item, just what i needed. The only downside is that somehow the keys to the lock went missing, original packaging was cracked, not the shipping box, but the item blister. Anyway, i made a new set of keys for it and installed it on the boat with no further problems.

Have to say right out of the box it looks nice. The pull handle is milled not a thin stamped piece of metal. The lock is a little stiff to turn, locking and unlock I though they sent the wrong key with it , guess it just has a really tight seal. The latch bar is strong very solid once u lock your box. It would take a crow bar to get back in without the key. Ill rate it 5 star if it last.Update: It's been about 9 months and this bad boy has lived up to the price tag. I've been using it on the door of my flush mounted deck livewell it's been threw saltwater as well as fresh I've had 400lb people walking on it, I'm going to buy another. I just hate the pice has almost doubled tho.update: all I can do is shake my head!! took my boat to the shop to get it ready for the summer and I be damn!! someone goes there lifts the nice twisting open and close handle and manages to twist the whole damn thing around until it came open. they only took my boat anchor, my bait holder, and whatever else I forgot I had an there. GLUE GLUE GLUE your lock down, both sides nut side and locking side !

This block latch is of high quality and very stylish. I like it especially the metal part. It's part of the face lift for our boat.
