These are a great basic suspender. The 1.5 inch width gives more stability and strength and the belt clips attach easily and comfortably for a more secure fit.

Most of my suspenders either connect to the belt loops or pinch to the waist band of your pants. And many times, that works fine. But, for dress pant situation, you heed a belt, too, to provide support. This suspender easily connects to the belt in the front. The single back connection is more difficult. If you have bad shoulder flexibility, then you might need someone else to attach this hook to your belt. So far, while have shoulder pain, at times, I still have enough flexibility to make this connection. Now, I know what you're thinking: just attach the suspenders to the pants first and then put on the pants. I tried this, but the connection didn't hold. Perhaps a thicker belt would work. But, for right now, I can attach the suspenders while wearing the pants. The suspenders look great and adjust easily.

Embarrassing to say, but it's probably very relevant to other really fat guys, so I am 6'1" and pushing 450 lbs and these suspenders fit perfectly, even if I wear my pants low on my belly. They aren't even at the maximum length so I could presumably gain even more weight and the suspenders would still fit. The 1.5" strap is great for lightweight slacks but doesn't seem quite sturdy enough for jeans when doing anything physical, though. I am going to try the 2" version instead and see how they work.Rating only 4 stars because the rear hook broke after little more than a month of use. It caught on part of my door frame as I was getting into my vehicle and shattered. Maybe it shattered because I have been putting too much strain on them, but it still seemed like the plastic broke much more easily than it should have. Still, I don't know, so only removing 1 star instead of more.Couple things about these suspenders that I think could stand some improvement:1. Stamp the "Perry" logo on the leather portion on the inside instead of the outside. As is it's a bit tacky when wearing the suspenders on the outer layer and can still often be read through a thin-material shirt worn over it. Better yet, remove the stamped logo entirely. These are comfortable suspenders and I'll shout out about the brand enough without it being advertised on me.2. When I wear the suspenders as they naturally connect to the belt (with the clips facing inward) they will sometimes get knocked off the belt when I sit down or bend over. I can't just wear the suspenders "inside-out" since the rear hook will only work over the belt instead of under it. (Technically you could flip it around but then its center knock-out won't be able to grab onto a belt loop and prevent the clip from sliding around). To fix this I leave the rear clip over the belt and flip the front clips around so they fit under the inside of the belt instead of over the outside. This keeps everything connected nicely all day. However, having the straps twisted around gets uncomfortable and eventually causes kinked material under the length adjustment collar. If there was a better way to flip the front clips around so they go under the belt instead of over I would be a very happy camper.3. How come the Big & Tall one is only ever available in green??

I love these so much I will be order a couple more. I never thought I would be a "suspender guy" and yet here I sit. Several things drove me to finally add a pair to my wardrobe. First, my belt is simply not doing its job all alone in holding up my pants properly ESPECIALLY when I have accessories attached to said belt. I could only tighten my belt so much and finally it became apparent that I needed more than the standard looped belt to meet my needs. I researched suspenders for sometime (talk about an interesting search history there...) which brought me to purchasing these Perry suspenders. Here is what I've found since wearing them around regularly for the past couple weeks.Pros:- Easy to adjust (took all of 10-seconds to get the correct fit).- There are no buckles or snaps to come flying off (the belt slides into notches that are intelligently retained).- Well constructed. Very well constructed indeed.- They are surprisingly light weight. I thought initially that they were bulky but then after 2-minutes of wearing them I forgot they were on!Cons:- None!I very much recommend these especially for people that weigh their regular belts down with items such as cell phone cases, a knife, or other devices and equipment. These, in my estimation, are a life saver.

My significant other has put on a little weight in the last few years. As a result, his pants were constantly drooping down and causing him a lot of frustration - like when he was trying to open a door or hold a cup of coffee and his pants would start slipping!! I suggested the suspenders and he eventually agreed to let me order some. He LOVES them, now. Said they have made his daily routines so much easier. They're sturdy, nice looking and best of all - they do what they were purchased for: keep his drawers from dragging. Glad to have found them and we're both a lot happier now. Also ordered a pair in beige.

Instead of going the suite route for our groomsmen, we opted for white shirts and dark slacks with navy suspenders and ties. These were a great, cost effective option and the guys loved them and looked really sharp in them. I can't say much about the long term wear but they worked great for the day of. We had tons of compliments on them and the wedding has been featured on a couple of blogs so others must think it looked pretty good too. They were fully adjustable so they fit each different body type perfectly.

My husband worked with someone who had the suspenders on and saw how well they worked. He asked him what brand they were and then came home and told me. I researched the internet and found them here at a good price. I ordered only one pair to try them out. We received them in no time at all and he began wearing them. He loves them. For the first time suspenders actually work. I will be buying more of these. I would recommend them to anyone who wears a belt with their pants (they only work with a belt). My husband's plumber butt is gone.Note: My husband is 6 foot and we got the tall size and they were perfect. Plenty of room in case he grows.
