Compared to my original that they just don't make at the same level of quality, it's decent, looks good and all positive. I just don't know if it'll last over 20 years like the one it replaced. So freaking glad I got this one that has the fitting bar as the old one was ten times thicker and this cover didn't work with it. Easy to install aside the old one was very hard to get the screws removed, but once installing this one, it was three screws to tighten and I was done.

This drain cover was a perfect replacement for our TubCo jacuzzi tub though based on the design, I'm quite sure that it would fit any single hole drain as the backplate holds with tension with freedom on the horizontal axis so it'll fit any size opening. The cover doesn't really force you to choose an upward direction so I opted to install it with the opening upwards to give myself a bit more room to soak

Careful. Those edges are sharp. It looks nice though and was a perfect fit.

This worked good on my tub to replace one that was peeling and starting to look like an eyesore. Very pleased with my purchase and the price was great.

it was relatively easy to install, I had some issues that made it take longer.Removing the broken old unit was straight forward with a little bit of muscle to get the weight arm out far enough to do the job. Then came 1st issue, the cotter pin, freeing the assembly was the easy part, putting the new one on was a challenge, trying to close the split tail to guide it through the holes, added a fair bit of time, and effort to the project, oh, how I wished one was part of the package. Admittedly I could have run to the hardware store, or ordered one and delayed my repair. It also may have helped if I remembered needing one from the last time I replaced the lever over 30 yrs ago. After that the next issue arose, the screws in the kit did not match my plumbing, in this case the were too wide, and too short. I still had the old ones (that were original to the tub), fit them in and all was ready for a test. The heads on my old screws matched the recess on the unit face. After seeing it both held and drained, tightened it up and called it good.It works, looks better than the old oiled bronze, as i have learned not all brushed nickel matches like chrome, neither did the oiled bronze, so I am happy with it.A cotter pin would have made it 5 stars, in my book, the right screws may have helped, but the old ones are just fine.

I wanted to replace the gold colored bath overflow cover, but was concerned that the exact gold color would not match. Happily, this overflow cover matches PERFECT! An easy fix..

I’ve only had it on the tub for a week or two and the screws have rusted. Disappointed with this oversight in quality.

My wife and I are first time home owners. I am also not very 'handy,' when it comes to repairing things. The house we bought was flipped and we've unfortunately discovered the guy that did it cut a lot of corners. When we first moved in the drain/plug assembly gave us trouble because it wasn't properly screwed back onto the tub after he had the tub finished/glazed. Discovered this via a miniature lake of water in our basement. Maybe a mere pool. Alas... We were able to properly align and screw the cover back into it's proper place, and thankfully had no more problems with it the next 2.5 years. Until now.Now we have a 2 year old and one of his favorite bathtub toys happens to be the flip switch that plugs and unplugs the tub. He likes to fit another toy under the flipper and yank it up then push it down and yank it up again. We didn't think much of it until the bathtub wouldn't drain water anymore, so we knew something inside the drain cover either broke or became misaligned.Because I've discovered I'm becoming more like my dad than l would like to admit, I ended up spending the $10 on this drain cover/stopper replacement instead of having someone come look at it. I was worried about the screws after reading all the reviews about them being too long, but it turns out the nasty rusted out ones I removed from my old overflow cover were even LONGER than the ones provided, so then I worried they were going to be too short!I brought both screwdriver heads with me, a pair of pliers and a hex set for another shower project, but I tried to prepare for the worst. Set a hand towel down in the bottom of the tub to prepare for any drops or accidents - gently unscrewed the screws because I didn't know what the inside was gonna look like. Luckily it was all still together! I removed both screws, held the weight with my right hand and used the pliers to pull the pin that holds the assembly to the flipper with my left. Caught the plate when it detached, replaced with the new and lined my screws back up.Once everything was tightened I gave it a few tests and it held and drained beautifully. Didn't experience any denting or scratching thanks to being careful from reading other reviews, and didn't overtighten the screws. Overall it took about 2 minutes of tool prep, 5 minutes of doing it and clean up time. Definitely a quick fix, and worth the $10.Will update if there are adverse effects from this.
