The best tools cost more. These are worth it.

These tools are a little expensive, but as the other reviews state, are well worth it. This is my first attempt at lino and having quality tools to use has made the experience fun and not too many mistakes (yet).

Very well manufactured, great attention to detail but extremely small. They are designed to be held on your palm ... if the distance from the hollow of your palm and the tip of your fingers is very small.

I love the feel of these tools in my hand and they are super sharp and precise. I bought them to use for rubber stamp carving and Lino cuts. I highly recommend them.

i was using e.c lyons tools on a poplar board for wood cut and when i went against the grain these tools picked up lots of extra wood...like they were not sharp....i had just bought this pfeil set for lino cuts but for grins started on the poplar and low and behold...a nice cut....these come sharp...awesome...i'm worried that i will not sharpen them correctly...there's no suggestions or tutorials on pfeil site....anyway....these are good....i did not have a problem with the handle coming apart.

I just took a special workshop in woodblock printmaking this weekend in Santa Monica. This gave me the opportunity to use these new tools. I have never worked with a woodblock, only linoleum blocks for making my prints. I have avoided wood since I did not know how to sharpen the tools. My workshop has changed all of this now. These tools glided through the wood like a hot wire slices through Styrofoam! They have excellent balance, and they immediately adapted to my left hand use. They took a stropping with just a few strokes to keep their keen edge. These are not cheap tools, and they are worth the price. I look forward to adding other v-gouges to my collection over time.
