PHILTOP Tensioner is a device used to maintain tension on an engine belt. It helps maintain the correct belt tension and prevents the belt from slackening or falling off, thereby improving driving safety, engine life, fuel efficiency and driving comfort. An automotive tensioner usually consists of a tensioning pulley that helps maintain the correct belt tension and a tensioning device that adjusts the position of the tensioning pulley to maintain the correct tension. Automotive tensioners usually need to be inspected and replaced periodically to ensure they are working properly and to avoid failure.

The tensioner cracked while I was putting the belt on. The nut where you put the socket on cracked with my serpentine tool on it before I could even get it pulled all the way back to put the belt on. Pretty disappointed with the quality. The metal is too soft to do its one job.

Installed a week ago, fit perfect and stopped the squeaking when warming up. Flex has 160,000 miles on it and it still had the original tensioner. This one is definitely not as high quality as the original fomoco, but it was so cheap and easy to replace, I will just install a new one every time it needs a belt

This was ordered for a 2007 FJ Cruiser, which it fit properly.Installing it took some effort, including removing other car parts to get down to it, but once put in my vehicle works beautifully. Yay.You probably know this already, but by the time you're this far in, you should replace the belt at the same time.

This put an end to the squeak on my 2011 Jeep Wrangler. It may be possible to replace only the pully and not the tensioner, but at this price - why not just replace the whole thing?
