I like the fact that it’s Belgium linen and they come already coated with gesso

Looks like very nice smooth painting surface. I use Belgian linen all the time. Doesn’t show through the paint as much as ordinary canvas. And fast shipping! Thanks.

I like to paint thin with a palette knife, so I find this type of canvas works the best for me. They have a very smooth texture, which I love. The quality is pretty consistent. I have been using them regularly for about two years and I only once got one that was slightly warped. They’re also pretty well stretched, tight enough for most purposes. If I need it even more taut, I just spray it with water and let it dry. Then it’s perfect.

This is neither linen, nor is it what is advertised. This is a synthetic polycarbonate material that is not what is advertised at all! I demand a full refund.

I use these for my most important pieces. They come with corner wedges too. Great quality.

So, the glaring issue here is that one of the canvases was damaged through the packaging. The external wrapping was intact, but the plastic covering the individual canvas was torn within the bundle, with damage to the canvas beneath (linen exposed and damaged, all primer removed; appears to have been crushed on opposing corners by something heavy being placed on it).General quality of the canvases apart from this is "okay" - all of them have some relatively minor damage and defects (again, it looks like something was probably placed on each one at some point, and it only tore the plastic in one case), but nothing a couple coats of gesso won't fix.

This is the first time I bought a linen canvas. I am a budding artist and use oil paints. I ordered the 16x20 smooth linen canvas. The wood support is thicker and sturdier than the other cheaper brands. The linen itself is smooth and taught. I still used my own gesso prior to painting and it helps me go into artist mode. I will definitely buy these again. I am often hard on products from amazon, but have to admit and say these are the best! You need to live a little and try these canvas's.Thank you for reading my review fellow artists. Best wishes on your journey.

I'm always on the hunt for a nice linen canvas on sale, although I also stretch my own, this is a good nice to paint on, and a great surface. I like the folded back canvas, and not machine pressed as many cheap canvas are at craft stores.

I’ve painted on half a dozen of these so far and have probably painted on nearly every brand of linen I can find. These are hands down the best bang for your buck, they are leagues above the Blick student grave stretched linen (which is crappy 9oz paper thin linen) and Phoenix is much more affordable. It’s not as nice as Fredrix but that can be expected since you are paying a lot for that brand, or even far more for Masterpiece. I’d say that this brand is as good as the Winsor Newton artist grade stretched linen, and 1/3rd the price. The linen is sturdy, tight, the stretcher bars aren’t warped, and the gesso is acceptable, although it wouldn’t hurt to throw in another coat if you want a more smooth surface. Hands down my go to brand for smaller paintings. My only wish is that they would offer a 1-3/8 or 1-1/2 gallery wrapped option, or larger options such as 20x24 or 24x36.Long story short, if you are a painter and wish to experiment on linen, this is the best you’ll find for the price.
