How to install

First, After disassembling old "tires", clean up the gummy debris left on the wheels.

Mounting:

Used a clamp to hold the tire on the wheel in one spot, and then used a screwdriver to pry the rest of the tire on. This made installation relatively easy

Uniform stretch:

After mounting, removed the clamp and pushed the shaft of the screwdriver completely under the tire, so it was between the tire and rim. Then ran the screwdriver around the wheel several times to make sure the tire was uniformly stretched around the wheel.

Seating the tire:

Next, made sure the tires were properly seated in the groove on the wheels, rolled the wheel on a concrete floor, pushing down pretty hard with your hands, so the concrete would forced the tire into the groove.

After mounting, reinstalled the wheels and readjusted everything, finish!

✅Urethane band saw tires no adhesive needed, but need to be stretched on. If your new band saw tire is too tight to fit onto the wheel, submerged the new tire under hot water for a few minutes, this will make things easier.

Soaking in a little hot water and some clamps made installation a breeze on my Jet 18"

Since it doesn't say anywhere in the ad how thick it is, it's .110. Seems to be running better than the .09 I bought a few years ago. The .09 would fly off my Craftsman / Parks 18": saw on occasion. Ran 3 6 - 8" branches at a 1" resaw so far with no issues.

These tires are of good quality, but if you have to narrow them to fit your wheel it is very difficult. My wheels are 17 3/8" diameter and 1' wide. Belt had to be cut down from 1 1/2" to 1". I finally used a reciprocating saw. Still needed to do a lot of hand trimming. The tires are running smooth and I am satisfied with them. Just be aware that if your wheels are narrow you are in for some work.

Confirm these tires fit the 18" Jet. Like others have mentioned, they need to be heated and then muscled onto the wheels. Not easy, but definitely doable.

running for a few months...partially slides off wheel - need to keep an eye on it....not as tight as I would have liked - for my 18" bandsaw.

I was replacing the old rubber tires on my bandsaw, and decided to upgrade to urethane. Although the installation did not require any glue or other adhesive, the installation was not easy - but I expected that. I ended up having to heat the tires up in a bath of near boiling water, and then stretching them over the wheels. Not easy, but I got it done.
