I used it to attach boom mic stands to my drum rack. But here's the thing: although the clamps fit onto the standard sized rack just fine, they did not clamp onto the boom mic stands. I tried putting in a shim made of cardboard and packing tape but the stand just slipped on through that. So I thought a bit longer and remembered I had some car heater hose in the garage. In fact I had three different sizes on hand. Lucky me I guess. I snipped some off, fit them around the mic stands, jammed them into the clamps and tightened them down. They work! Note however that this was NOT EASY. There are drum rack clamps that are MUCH EASIER TO USE but COST MORE. If the idea of DIYing something to make these cheaper ones work doesn't jive with you, plunk down the extra cash to get the ones that will serve you better.

Broke first day. Plastic isn’t very strong. I tightened it down and the housing broke right away.

To be like a Roland clamp 2 things need to happen: 1) double the price and 2) and a wing nut to the clamp. I switched this clamp out for the wing nut version on my rack and it’s now a fixed mount. Holds just fine and even looks like a Roland.

Bought this for my Alesis Nitro Mesh, unfortunately it doesn't fit and the material is weak and poorly made.
