Beautiful colors. Easy to use. Heats perfectly and doesn't bubble. Great quality embossing powder. The antistatic bag is awesome! Definitely helps keep the power where you want it. Great little kit overall for the value!

So it's been a long time since I played around with embossing powder, but I enjoy junk journaling and thought this might add an additional layer of embellishment to my work. Back in the day a hair dryer on high sufficed to set these. That being said, I feel my review may be a bit lacking because I do not own any specialty heat setting embossing tools and therefore don't feel I can completely review this product to it's full extent, a hair dryer did not work however. Please keep that in mind.First off, I like the colors. The powders came in decent containers with screw on tops to reduce spillage. They did NOT however come with directions for using the powder which I found upon review of the listing. That's where things became a bit confusing for me as I've never used an anti static bag before. Directions on the listing state to use it AFTER applying the powder but BEFORE heat treating. Obviously this will successfully remove the powder which is not the intended purpose of the bag. Luckily, the packaging had the right instruction for the anti static bag. I tried the powders on paper with and with out the bag applying the bag to the paper surface before stamping and applying the powders. I actually found more powder stuck to the paper when I did use the bag requiring me to pull out a paint brush to remove the excess powder. Could it remove the powder after applying? Sure, but it's awkward and increases the risk of hitting your stamped design. I should note here I did not try it on anything but paper but the package does state it works to anti static other surfaces as well like plastic and may work better in those conditions. The powder is not uniform. It contains larger and smaller pieces which make clean up a bit of a challenge as it leaves a bit of fine residue. The grit is small enough that it doesn't appear to make the stamped design chunky. I found applying it to the stamped design worked well. It stayed on the design and did not come off easily when my paper was tilted or tapped. It easily dislodges when you brush it. It stayed put when I ran my hair dryer on high over it even moving the hair dryer.I ran these with the hair dryer and had only a small area melt. Again, I do not own an embossing heat tool as the directions state to use, but the hair dryer was hot enough to burn my hands so I figured it would be hot enough to melt the powder and did in a small area, but even after holding the hair dryer on high about half an inch from the paper for about 20 seconds didn't work. This may work fine with an embossing tool and I hope other users can fill in the gap here.Overall, I like the colors and I like the sticking ability. I question it's melt capabilities, but I'm not accounting this issue into my rating. My big issues are the lack of proper directions and the total failure of half of this set- the bag, for me personally. I'm not real found of the fine to coarse quality of the powder either. It seems eventually the fine portions will be used leaving the coarse powder left. This is just a MEH product for me even if the powder did melt properly with a hair dryer. I feel this could be better and may change my rating when I get said 'embossing tool'. I miss the days when things were simple. At the present price of $19.99 it appears to be with in fair market value. That seems steep personally, but compared with other brands similarly priced.*images show only the non-melted powders on my stamped images except the partial white stamp on the black paper. The stamped design area are about half an inch in diameter for my tags making the design fairly fine lined.
