This pizza stone has completely transformed how we make pizza at home! I ditched the foil and now bake directly on the stone—it’s a game-changer. It’s large enough to handle a 12” pizza and comes in a convenient rectangular shape. The stone ensures the crust bakes evenly and gives it that perfect texture we all love. The built-in handles make it super easy to take in and out of the oven, and you can cut and serve the pizza right on the stone, which is a nice bonus. Just remember, before using it, you need to fully cure the stone by baking it in the oven at 500°F for 60 minutes. Totally worth the effort for the results it delivers!

Before you can use this stone, you must fully cure it by baking it in your oven at a temp of 500° for 60 minutes. Any time you use it to bake thereafter, it should always be placed in your oven to participate in the preheating process. This will bring the stone to whatever baking temp that your pie requires. You want the stone hot before you start the cooking process, no matter what type of pie you're making. This goes for homemade creations, fresh pre-made take-n-bake options, and frozen pizza offerings. The size of this stone is not a square, but rectangular shaped instead. When deciding on what type of stone I wanted prior to purchasing, I kinda wish I would've chosen the round shaped stone instead. But now that I've used this one, I can tell you that it only accomodates pizzas less than 12" in diameter. 😕 The best thing I do like about this shape over a round stone though is this one provides 4 wide corners that are always accessible & easy to grab ahold of when removing the hot pizza from the oven. You never disturb any of the toppings on your pie, and never get gooey cheese on your oven mitts.I also do like how the pizza crust gets crispy in the middle when we bake on this stone. Pizza slices that don't have a fully crispy bottom lack the integrity to be enjoyed as a one-handed delicacy. I don't know of a single person that likes floppy slices...The directions instruct on trying to avoid getting cheese, sauce, or greasy toppings on the stone's surface before baking. If you do, just wipe them off. Cleaning directions advise against using dishsoap on the stone or scrubbing with abrasives. We let the stone fully cool before just gently wiping the flour off with a little hot water on a soft sponge. No problem.I haven't used this on a grill, and honestly don't really ever foresee myself doing that, unless we were to build a true brick oven outdoors (which would be a dream, but highly unlikely).Final rating: 3.5 stars, due to it's limitations as a rectangular shape. (if it was able to accomodate a bigger pie, it'd have been a 5 star item).

This is a great set. Many food prep sets (i.e. most "grill" sets) have one quality item and a bunch of mediocre bric-a-brac thrown in to pad them out so you're better off just buying things individually. However with this set everything included is good quality and very useful.Whether you're making your own from scratch or getting frozen from the store, this set will enhance the experience and flavor. The stone itself ensures that the crust bakes evenly and has a great texture - much better than baking on a metal pan IMO. The handles make it easy to take in and out of the oven if you're using the oven for other baking projects inbetween. The bamboo peel is lightweight and easy to use - you can also cut and serve the pizza right from the peel.It came with a single sheet of parchment paper, which my son threw out before realizing that it was part of the kit, but we haven't missed it.I have a professional restaurant grade pizza cutter, but greatly prefer the rocker cutter that came with this kit. The rocker cutter doesn't require as much wrist strength so the whole family can use it more easily. It's also simpler to clean and much much easier to sharpen. It comes with an edge protector to keep the edge from getting dull if you keep it in a drawer. Also, it has a convenient hole drilled in one side in case you want to store it on a peg.Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this kit. It also makes a great gift idea.

I've used pizza stones for years. It's just a better way to both make and heat pizza. Once you get used to them it's not the same without them.I put these to work immediately after they arrived. The holidays are here and that means a lot of on the run eating. I used this to make a pie at home. It came out really well. I always put some panko crumbs on the bottom of the pizza and the crust usually comes out crisp without burning it. It's almost like a small layer of toast on the bottom. It also adds to the overall flavor of the pizza. I also used this to cook vegetable board. Again using a stone it allows for a crispier crust. Both the pizza and the vegetable board came out great. The heat seems to be evenly distributed and the crust's hue is even across the pie. The stone was easy to clean and there was no staining, oil, or residue left behind.I was satisfied with my order. The pizza stone met my expectations. The price was commensurate with the current market value in brick and mortar stores. The results speak for themselves. Both the pizza and vegetable board came out evenly cooked to a nice golden brown crust. Once you use it you will see the immediate difference it makes. It reheats pizza without completely drying it out and turns a floppy pizza slice into that over fresh crispness that makes all the difference. Just spritz a little olive oil on the top of the slice you're going to heat and that will heat it faster and more evenly. Just preheat the stone, lay the slice(s) down and in minutes you'll be able to enjoy having a crisp slice of leftover pizza that tastes fresher than heating it directly on the oven grate.
