Plane Magic Tool lube can be used on the soles of planes, table saws, and other woodworking tools to help prevent rust and smooth out sticky wood slides. This lubricant is specifically designed to reduce friction and improve the performance of woodworking tools, making them easier to use and more effective. To use Plane Magic Tool lube, you should first clean the surfaces of your tools thoroughly to remove any dirt, dust, or debris. Then, apply a small amount of the lubricant to the tool's sole or slide and spread it evenly with a cloth or brush. Be sure to apply only a thin layer of the lubricant, as excess lubricant can attract dust and debris, leading to more problems down the line. Once you've applied the Plane Magic Tool lube, you should notice an immediate improvement in the smoothness and performance of your tools. The lubricant will help reduce friction and prevent rust, making it easier to slide your tools across wood surfaces without sticking or binding. With regular use, Plane Magic Tool lube can help extend the life of your woodworking tools and keep them performing at their best. And comes in an easy-to-use applicator that fits in your apron pocket. NOW IN A NEW ROUND APPLICATOR, That fits better in your shop apron

A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED IN THE SIZE

This seems to work okay for my wood planes. But it does not seem any better than just rubbing on a little candle wax, which is much cheaper.

Did exactly what we needed it to do. No chemical smell, easy to apply.

For the price I think this product is exceptional. The only other option for a roll on wax seems to be Rob Cosman's offering and it is around 4 times the price plus shipping. Is it better than this one? Maybe, but this one works so I can't see how it could be improved. If anything, the wax could be a little harder - especially in my shop where the temps reach well into the low 100s F.

This is a must for any hand plane. Makes for fiction-less movement over wood. Smooth cutting makes all the difference. If you want to get rid of the binding and chip out you are getting, try this, and sharpen your blade, lol. Will never go without this while using any of my hand planes.

Seeing the reviews griping on price, Pretty sure the applicator is where the price goes up, but that's the convenience factor. That being said, the product itself goes on easy and makes the planes glide better than a standard candle waxing. The applicator makes it easy to keep handy and useful. I've used it on hand planes, saw blades, and the palm router base... It keeps things moving easier. As-is it works great, but if I HAD to find a fault, I would wish it were just a bit harder by maybe 10% for in the tube, pocket heat makes it fairly soft. It is a good product, haven't had any finishing issues. Think it'd be great if there were some means to get refills or a refill program, but what's in the tube should last a good long time.
