The version I got shipped came with an swappable longer forward arms (a 'U' of metal), and that helped. Mounted this on a RANS Stratus long-arse recumbent bike with a 700c rear wheel. If you've ever dealt with recumbents 'pretty good' is a serious compliment for anything fitting right, and this setup is 'Versa' enough that it should fit 'pretty good' on quite a few.

Not a lot of choices out there for 29ers with disc brakes. I liked the look of this rack and reviews were good, others modified and so did I. My Specialized Rockhopper Elite 29 has threaded holes on downtubes near seatpost to accept "something" but the 2.3" tires were too wide to work with even the longer brace. I could've bent it, but that would have made it too short. I used the parts they provided and did this solution (see pics). It ties the rack into the seat height, but I don't change that often, and if I do for another rider, I figure it will be OK. I'll be looking for a better clamp but for now this will work, seems very sturdy and I wrapped it in a strip of inner tube rubber for a nice "hacked look."

The rack was easy to install and arrived with all the needed hardware, and it accommodates disc brakes. It's a bit heavier than I was hoping for, perhaps a half pound, but as it is on an E-Bike (pedal-assist), this is not a big deal. It is a bit wider and more "burly" than some racks. I would not put it on my lighter road bike, but I do notice that others have. These characteristics (wide, hefty) will likely serve others better than less formidable racks. All in all, a well crafted addition to this particular bike.

One of the few products that is both great quality and perfect fit. Not much else to say, BUT IF YOU NEED ONE THIS IS IT.

Easy to install, went on 1hr bike ride and didn't have a problem, the rack is sturdy. Fits great on my Trek FX 3.Little Riceball was calm throughout the whole ride. We'll see how long it lasts.

Worth the little extra money over the cheaper racks. Fit my Specialized Diverge perfectly. Very sturdy and attractive. Adds a little weight to the bike but they all do. Easier to install than my other racks. Arms will have to be pushed in place to align but this is normal. A little wider than my other racks.

It was quick shipping and was very easy to install. It feels a little bit heavier then I thought it would but it works great. I'm a daily commuter, about 10 miles round trip, and I have been using it for a month now. the only problem on my folding bike is that I get a few heal sticks with my bag.

I bought this rack for a Gravity 29er with disc brakes and extra large frame. With the spacers (provided) the rack's brackets clear the disc brakes without any problem. At its highest adjustment point the rack DOES clear the 29" tire, but just barely. With the velcro straps of my trunk bag passing under the rack, I'm afraid that if they become even a little bit loose that the tire will scrape them. The rack also tilts forward ever so slightly off-level if I attach the front brackets to the connecting bolts on the seat stays. It's really not a big deal, but I nevertheless chose to use the mounting brackets provided (and bypass the existing connection points on the seat stays) in order to level the rack. In any event, to state that this rack does not fit a 29er is in error. This is not to say that it's perfect (which is why I gave it only 3-stars). The upper bracket arms could do with a bit more adjustability, i.e. they should be longer and made of more flexible metal than 6061 aluminum. Also, I don't like the fact the the rack narrows at the front (rather than maintaining the same width along the entire rack). It causes the front velcro strap of my trunk bag to be way too long, and very hard to attach with so little space between the tire and the rack.All-in-all, the racks suitability for 97% of bicycles makes sense. And if you have disc brakes and standard 26" or 700c tires (700cm = about 27.5"), I can't see why there should be any problem at all with this rack fitting the bike. With a 29er it will most likely fit...but with little wiggle room to spare for trunk bag straps or bungee cords. Unfortunately, for disc brake 29ers there are not a whole lot of rack options out there to choose from.

This rack will not fit 700C or 29" bikes (i.e. hybrids). The front connection arms are too short. If you do install it on one of these bikes, the rack will tilt forward about 30 degrees and the seat will overhang the first 4 inches or so. As with most Planet Bike products, it is well made but did not work for my bike. I would say for a mountain bike or one with smaller tires that this item would work.
