I used these to folded to have four layers. Hence this big size is most versatile! That kept late fall deep frosts and even snow from freezing the last of my greens, beets, and carrots. But I also learned that the mice appreciated the warmth under these with a food source, and even chewed the material to make nests. So use these confidently, but with care. give them lots of support if snow might fall on them!

This is great for night where there’s frost. Unfortunately, they’re havent been any frosty nights in Southern California, where I live. This has been an extraordinarily mild winter. . . In regard to cold weather. But, I picked a particularly dewy, cold night and covered the plumeria (which still have leaves) and tomatoes (which are still producing tomatoes! Can you believe that? I’ve been growing Sungold tomatoes all winter!). The plastic kept the moisture off the plants. Yet lets the first morning sunlight warm them underneath. So, I’m confident this item will protect any plant from frost, snow, ash (it did keep ash off of my garden while the fires burnt upwind from my house. Though I doubt that was the intention of this product.).Glad I had it on hand.

I bought this during the winter and it's kind of tough to get it spread out, maybe too cold and it became stiff but with the air temperature warm a little bit, it seems to unfold and spread well. Especially if you get a big size one like I did, prepare to take your time to unpack unfold and spread. I can cut this with a very sharp scissor or a new razor knife, I don't recommend dull knife or scissor as you will struggle with it. The materials seems strong and different from the regular 6mil greenhouse plastic, so maybe it is designed for frost protection. I use it inside a green house, a greenhouse within a greenhouse, it's a secondary protection, I haven't got any plants froze yet as the outer later greenhouse so far kept the inside warmer.Good size I got so I can cut it to smaller one. Light weight enough not to kill the plants but I recommend a stick or something to keep few inches above the plants. It is good value for the money, however how long will it last is my only concern, like most items only time will tell.

This is a very big frost blanket at 10’ x 50’. It is perfect for adding a few extra degrees of warmth to your early spring veggies and some protection from pests or rodents while veggies are growing. In addition, you could use it to add a little shade protection for the sun with some ventilation. The quality is good, as you would expect for its weight and thickness. I like have a longer frost blanket available for my longer beds, but also like having the option to cut it if needed for smaller applications throughout my garden. Frost blankets do work really well and are great to have on hand especially if you like in a climate where your frost free date isn’t truly dependable. I definitely recommend having this frost blanket on hand regardless of whether you are a beginning gardener or an experienced gardener! It may be the one thing that saves your garden in unexpected whether or pest pressure issues!

Sturdy, great size for covering a larger bed of spreading plants like a rosebed.

This cover worked really well. I received it just in time to cover and protect some young ficus trees that are currently bush sized, from the freeze that came through for several days. My favorite thing about this particular one is the length of it. I love that it is designed at 30 foot long. The cost of this cover is insignificant to what the cost would be to replace a row of hedge trees. The fabric is very durable. It has been on for a couple of weeks now, and there are no tears. The only thing that has been hard, is getting it to stay on at night. That is hardly the covers fault, but it has blown off multiple times and my trees do have some damage. It would be a nice addition if this cover could have some grommet holes around the ends, an stakes to hold it down. I placed rocks all around it, and it kept getting loose. I finally used bricks and that seemed to do the trick.

Ok, y'all. We Texans are NOT meant for the cold... and neither is our Zone 8 and 9 landscaping. These frost protection cloths have come in CLUTCH for our foxtail ferns and beautiful azaleas. We are expecting record-breaking snowfall in Houston tomorrow evening (3"+... and yes, we know that's not a lot... but it's shutting down the 4th largest city in country), but the temps have dropped to pipe-bursting cold temps overnight. These blankets have (so far) protected my ferns and azaleas from the temps and the wind. We just spent $5k on redoing a portion of our landscaping, so I need to protect as much as I can.It was so easy to apply to our flowerbeds, and allows for flexibility. You're able to double up the cloth (making it 5' wide), or extend it out and utilize the full 10' width. We needed right at 50' of length, so this was absolutely perfect to cover the front row of ferns. I ordered a secondary frost cover for our azaleas once I saw how well I liked the coverage of the first one.I anchored everything down with pavers and other landscaping rocks, and it's withheld the 25+ mph winds blowing in with the initial front. We are expecting the snowfall (GASP) tomorrow evening, and I'm confident that the frost cover will help save my landscaping. We're accustomed to 65-70 degree January days... not 30 degree days... so this is all new to us (and our neighbors). I shared the link of this product on our HOA page after a couple of people asked where we found the covers with 50' length. So far... highly recommend. Cost effective way to save your plants when the unexpected winter storm presents itself. Snow in Houston, y'all! Who knew?!
