We purchased this for my wife that suffers from heel pain. It helped almost immediately. The included shoe inserts are also high quality.

The brace itself is very poor quality. Worn only at rest for a week and two of the straps tore away from the main structure. When wearing, the velcro on all the straps was limited as to how far they will attach to tighten and the long toe to shin strap was sewn at an odd angle. As a result, all it did was stretch the big toe out until it hurt too, rather than really stretching the ligaments it was intended to. The massage ball and shoe inserts were/are fine, but if you're buying this set for the brace, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

I've tried about a dozen planter fasciitis splints in the last few years. I'm not an expert but definitely have some perspective. I maintain that the posterior type splint is the most effective but it is bulky and not affordable for all. The bulkiness the posterior type splint makes it difficult to travel which is why I keep trying something more portable. I travel quite a bit and I am unable to take a split with me in my carry-on bag.Unfortunately this splint did not work out well for me. I think it could work out for some people depending on the anatomy of your foot. As with many plantar fasciitis splints tension is applied between the toe and somewhere on the calf to help maintain some degree of dorsiflexion ( the pulling of the toes towards the shin). Most people have a longer big toe and second toe and I am not excluded from that group. When this tension is applied it usually pushes up against my big toe and causes discomfort there as a result. Is splint may work for someone whose toes are not that much different in length. I keep waiting for a designer of one of these splints to figure out that there needs to be a more rigid extension beyond the toes from the sole portion so that any toes that are longer than others are not cramped by that upwards pool of the front of the foot. When I saw this one had inserts included I was hoping that perhaps the insert would be rigid enough to suffice but unfortunately it was not. That said, the inserts that are provided are quite nice. I definitely think I will use them in a shoe.Another thing I noticed about the splint, it wasn't very comfortable unless I put a sock on and I usually like to sleep with just the splint, and no sock but the coarseness of the velcro straps was uncomfortable against my bare skin. The material and workmanship of the splint itself seems very good. The ball that is included is also very nice, in fact I've been looking for one like this for some time now and have had multiple orders from Amazon that had not fit the bill. I finally have what I want now which is a massage ball for my foot that is firm but not rigid such that it goes sliding across the hardwood floors. So ironically I have two very nice shoe inserts and a nice massage ball for my plantar fasciitis and other trigger points but still searching for just the right splint for my plantar fasciitis. This splint is not for me but might work for someone else. The workmanship and quality is pretty good as well as the inserts and massage ball.

I am not the wearer of the plantar fasciitis night splint. The wearer, with women's size 9.5 feet, reported the following. In the box:- 1 brace for use on either foot- 1 each left and right insoles- 1 Ball to rub your foot around onHasn't used the insoles, the wearer has custom insoles already.Has worn the splint, unable yet to gauge efficacy due to short term of usage. There are no instructions provided - if you want to know how to put it on, how tight to make the toe strap, anything like that, you'll have to come back to the pictures and product information contained here. She reports the splint is comfortable to wear, and can be walked in and slept in. Perhaps in some period of weeks or months she'll be able to report on efficacy. At least we know it doesn't hurt her to wear, prevent sleeping or walking. As everyone's different your mileage may vary.
