The included instructions on installing these are vague at best, and not very helpful for non-electric knowledgeable people or anyone else not just replacing the same thing already existing. This was previously wired in the power supply wired to a furnace and when switch was turned off it never switched back on with supplying power through it again. It was only turned off/on maybe less than 10 times ever in it's entire life from 2011 to 2023 and I have to say that it should have functioned for much longer than it did to require being replaced. It also uses a nearly antiquated method of power protection with the screw-in fuse with a on/off light switch that probably has many updated versions that could be used to provide the same function with less likely failure when used as it is designed to be used.If I would have known something else that I could have used to replace the original one, I would have. But I am no professional and hiring one would cost more than it would have been worth. You will need to purchase additional products like wire nuts especially if connected to solid copper wires because using clamp-on quick connector ends do not grip on secure enough when trying to fit into the containing box with the wiring coming into and out of.
