I have a small inground pool and was given a P70 by the pool contractor. After going through the second one (both in exactly 2 years each). Upgrading to the P724 was a recommendation of my local pool store. After using it, while it looks the same, the programming seems to be different than the P70 and it does do a much better job. I'm very happy with this acquisition.

Doesn’t work on in ground pools and clean/ climb walls. I gave it one last shot and it would continuously flip around every time it reaches the deeper side of the pool which is no deeper than 8 ft.

We previously had the P825 and it worked fantastic. Unfortunately, it quit working. I would never be able to keep my pool as beautiful as it is without a Polaris Robotic Pool Cleaner. It saves tons of time from hand vacuuming and helps keep algae away. I did some research in the difference between the P825 & P724. My pool is 15’x30’ and 13,600 gallons. The P825 vacuums the length of a 40’ pool and P724 vacuums the length of a 36’ pool. The P825 came with a holding caddy, the P724 did not. That was ok for me because I am just using the caddy from the P825 that I previously had. I highly recommend the P724 and P825 because we have had both. I only changed to the P724 because it actually vacuums 36’ and my pool is 30’. There was no point in having the P825 when our pool was 10’ shorter than what it needs to vacuum. Our pool install guy ordered it for us so we thought it was what we needed. We maintain our own pool and have learned things like this along the way. We usually get 2 years to 2 1/2 years out of our vacuum cleaners. That is using it every day.

Ive had my pool for over 20 years and have had many pool cleaners. This is by far the absolute best that there is. Climbs up the sides, does the steps. Has a large collection bucket. And the debris does not go through your filter! Pricey but worth the cost.

I have had many different Polaris pool vacuums and for the price this unit does a lot of the hard work. Having had Polaris 380's before I found that I would spend most of my time in the hot summer months having to brush the pool sides since these units are strictly just vacuums. I decided to upgrade to a quattro which was around $1000 and was very happy with the performance. The biggest reason was the front paddle wheels cleaning the pool sides which saved me the time of brushing. Once my quattro went out I decided to try the P724 do to its cheaper price tag for a unit which incorporates a front paddle wheel. I was pleased to see the P724 was very capable of climbing the walls of my in ground pool and keeping the sides clean. The elimination of the side brushing for me is a huge time saver. The unit is lightweight for its size which makes it easy to pull up and out of the pool for emptying. The P724 was not do as good of a job of debris pick up as my quattro but it still performed satisfactorily especially for the reduced price point. I have always trusted the quality of the Polaris brand and am once again pleased with this compromise between price and performance from a brand that makes dependable, long lasting products with little to no maintenance.
