We have had nothing but trouble with purchasing this item from the Amazon markeplace. The base stopped connecting properly to the teleconference phone 10 months after purchasing the item. The seller only has a 30 day guarantee on the product. Polycom will not honor the 1 year manufacturer's warranty as they state that Amazon is not an authorized seller of the product. We have been going back & forth between Polycom, the seller & Amazon to try to be treated fairlly and have the product at least repaired and no one is stepping up to the plate. Horrible service - please beware from purchasing any of these type of products off of Amazon or Amazon marketplace as neither the seller, Amazon or Polycom is stepping up to honor the one year warranty. After we had already purchased the item we were warned by an IT person that the wireless teleconference phones fail frequently - please be careful when purchasing as if your product fails after the 30 day guarantee you will probably not even get a repair covered.

Works great, we had an issue with call quality, the base unit is about 50 feet away which is where out internet comes in (DSL). We had to improve out network and then position the base unit for best reception. This works like the cordless phone your Mom has, there is a separate base unit. After that call quality improved a lot. The battery doesn't last that long, I think they can easily put a bigger battery in there, we have to keep it plugged in all the time which reduces the cool factor.

When it works, the Polycom unit itself is absolutely excellent. Here is the issue: U.S. Telecom Source is NOT an authorized Polycom reseller. That means when your $899 unit fails, Polycom will NOT honor any warranty. $899 down the drain! Buyer beware! Ensure that any new product you buy will have full warranty from manufacturer. I am awaiting a response from U.S. Telecom Source to see what they can or will do.

I must say that when this product did not work. Amazon ensured that my refund was sent to me. I would have liked if the manufacturer had replaced the devise but they returned the money to my credit card.

This phone is awesome! Purchased this for the conference room at our business. The thing is fantastic, comes with a cord to plug your cell phone into the phone. This feature works very well. The SoundStation picks everyone's voice up around the table and just plain works. Executives are very happy they finally allowed me to spend the money to purchase this. The price was also $600 cheaper then purchasing through our phone vendor. Another Sys Admin SCORE!

Great product. I have used Polycom conference phones in the past, but had never used a wireless one. I was able to hook it up in about 2 minutes, very easy. Good sound quality. Highly recommend this phone if you are looking for a wireless conference phone.

Easy to setup seems to work fine. Only complaint is the speaker is not very loud. It is clear and the other caller hears our end fine / clear. At its loudest setting this expensive speaker phone is as loud as any standard phone or quieter even.

We have a few of these at my work, and they work great. Our conference rooms are between 15 x 30 to 35 x 50 ft, and we've never had any problems. For most conference rooms, you'll benefit from the external wireless microphone pods. The built in mic on the unit is good for about an 8 ft radius, beyond that it starts to sound like, well, like you're in a big room. The batteries in the main unit have all held up, no issues with distance from the base, and generally good clear sound. Only minor complaint (really for the mic pods) is that the plug for the mic pods doesn't seem to be in the right place, either that or the mic pods need longer plug pig-tails, because we have to glue them in at a weird angle; but they still work fine.

I can't really add anything that other positive reviewers haven't said. With the expandable mics, it's works great. However, you pay an additional $150 for the expandable model, then around $200 more for the mic set. So you pay extra for the privelege of paying again for extra mics, a $350 extra feature. Wired mics don't cost anything near that. That's my only problem with this thing.Edit: After one year, 2 of these are now dead, just past the warranty. It seems that the only positive reviews here are for people that reviewed it too soon, like I initially did. I bought a Konftel 300 about 9 months ago and so far no problems. I'm done with overpriced unreliable Polycoms.

While there was a little bit of sticker shock in the cost of the phone, it is worth it. Calls are clear with no feedback or distortion even with multiple people talking at once. The wireless feature is a huge plus and has a great range. We use this phone constantly in a upstairs conference room which is a good 30 feet away and have had no problems with signals breaking up or getting choppy. Battery life is pretty good and haven't had any issues with long calls. Power cord that comes with it is long enough should you need power. Only thing I would improve on this is some form of wireless charging station to put the unit on so you didn't have to remember to plug it back it after being used.
