La calidad de salida del sonido es baja, esto es, que se tiene que acercar al micrófono para que pueda ser escuchado por la persona a quien se llama o llama.Esperaba más del producto, hubiese preferido pagar más por un producto con mejor desempeño.

I really wanted to give this product a higher rating, but ultimately it did not fit my specific needs, and given the high price tag I decided to return. I have a very small home office--with likely pretty poor acoustics--and the my voice quality just didn't sound great on this unless I was right up against one of the three built-in microphones. My main goal was for a product with crystal clear audio for giving remote presentations...and, sadly, this didn't sound quite as good to people on the other end as a significantly cheaper Vtech handset with speakerphone capability...unless I was right on top of it...which is awkward to do with this model. On the plus side, the speaker quality and sound was excellent when I was listening to others, with excellent volume; and the included port for another phone line was a nice touch. This is probably an outstanding option if you really need to have multiple speakers in the same room...or are typically listening in on conference calls (and only occasionally interacting). But, if you are frequently talking, and crystal clear audio pick-up on the microphone is your primary concern (which was mine), then it would be very hard to justify the cost versus a much cheaper handset speakerphone which might only run $30-$50...and, ultimately, a headset is probably the way to go.

Very nice product. Read the description carefully and make sure this is what you are looking for - in my case it works great. You have to pay a little more for Polycom vs other brands but it is worth it. The sound is so clear on this unit it is amazing, the microphone sensitivity is excellent, and the people I am speaking to tell me that the sound quality on the other end is great too.I use this for my home office. The one feature I would like to have is auto-dial but it is not available on this model, so if you want auto-dial capability get another model, but this model does exactly what it says it will do and it works great.

I'll start by saying that I wear hearing aids which is why I need a speaker phone and not a headset. I've spent years and a few hundred dollars looking for a speaker phone that I can use in my home office for hands-free use during conference calls. So far everything I had tried had very poor sound pickup and I would have to grab the handset whenever I needed to talk.I finally decided to try something more "professional" and settled on the Polycom Voicestation 300 Analog Conference Phone base on price and reviews. The very first thing I noticed is that there is no display so you cannot see caller ID, what you are dialing, or any other information about the call. My fault for not looking more closely at the picture and for assuming that all such devices these days have a display. But, I can live with that since I just keep a compact wireless handset on my desk so I can see caller ID and other info in it.Next, as I started using it I would tell people that I got a new speaker phone and asked them how I sounded. They all said that it sounded good but also like I was far away. That was surprising since from where I had it placed on my desk the closet mic was only 2 feet away. When I leaned in to where I was only about a foot from the mic people all said "much better". Again, this was surprising since this phone is supposed to be good for a small conference room and I am only using it in a home office (converted small bedroom). Still, I can live with it and just lean in when I'm talking. All in all it's a vast improvement over the desktop speaker phones in the $100 range and works well for me in my home office as long as I make the minor accommodations I mentioned. If you want a true conference room phone, however, this may not be what you're looking for.

The voicestation 300 is a great product. The voice quality is excellent. I play guitar and a good friend of mine I played in a band with is over 2hr. drive away. Right now there is snow and ice on the ground. No way I'm driving anywhere in this. We tried to use regular speaker phones but they did not have enough volume and clipped on us pretty bad (Overpowered by all the sound. So we tried conference speaker phones and ordered the voice station 300. It works very well even for this application (Guitar practice). We also did a call to Florida over the holidays with a room full of guests to my wifes sister. You would have thought she was in the same room with us. I liked the voice station 300 so well I ordered the desk speaker phone Soundpoint Pro SE-220 for my office. I can work my computer and talk clearly to my customers while taking their orders. Polycom has some excellent products.

We did a conference call with 12 people sitting along a rectangle table and this in the middle, the people at the other end could not hear anyone on my side if they were more than 6' away from this phone. I actually had to have people get up and change chairs in order to talk to the person on the other end.The range on this phone is supposed to be three times what we were able to get, and that was with males that have good voice projection, not whispering kids, if anyone is wondering if it was a fair trial.Definitely would not recommend it to anyone who's meeting table is longer than 8'!
