The thermometer seem to be accurate and the digital readout is easy to read at a glance. The lights are a nice touch and are actually bright enough to reach the bottom of the pool. They offer a nice effect. I've had similar items where the lights were so dim they were hardly noticeable. That's not the case with this. They're nice and bright. My only concern is the longevity of the digital readouts. In my experience LCD screens and constant sunlight don't always play well together. Only time will tell though. Will update if the LCDs fail.

More than just a thermometer, it's also a pool light! It has vibrant lighting effects that really light up a pool or jacuzzi. The thermeter has dual LCD screens that are easy to read, and it's solar-powered and works consistently day and night. The color cycling could be smoother, as it sometimes switches a bit abruptly. It's a great multifunctional pool gadget, a great pool temperature monitor and also a stylish floating light. Definitely a great buy!

It’s nice to have a tool used for multiple tasks like temperature & chlorine tank. Light adds another dimension with multiple settings entertainment. Not a huge light show but helps locate it at night too.

This pool thermometer has two digital temperature readouts rather than regular a mercury thermometer. It runs on a solar battery that charges up all day as the thermometer floats around in the pool in the sun. It's very practical and requires no battery buying and changing out. The digital numbers are large, easy to read, and it's a bonus that there are two screens that show the water temperature - one on each side of the floating disk. The thermometer works well and is accurate. I like that I can see the digital readout from outside the pool, so I can check the water temperature without putting my hand in the cold water.The thermometer goes beyond practical and into fun territory at night, when a built-in darkness sensor signals that it's time to turn the light on. The fun and colorful LED light makes a cool circular pattern on the floor of the pool, and it is very striking and looks great. You can set what color you want the light to be. Red kind of reminded me of a shark attack, so I put it on blue which is a classic color for water. There are 8 colors total to choose from, or you can turn the light off if you prefer not to use it.Overall, this is an accurate pool thermometer that is both practical and fun. It works great and runs on a solar battery, which couldn't be easier. Just put this thermometer in your pool and forget about it. The temperature will show all the time and the lights will come on each night.

Love it, lighting is beautiful and it just floats around and I love the dual function of the device with both being a beautiful light show as well as reading the water temperature.Highly recommend for any serious pool enthusiast.Love the fact the colors can be changed as well.

Exactly as described. Works with sunlight. Has a C° or F° selector, an on/off button and a display showing the water temperature. The display is large and easy to see. At night, it also lights up, giving the pool a special color, green, red or blue. Perfect for children to have fun.

It’s awesome! Easy assembly and lit right up inside the house as we were attaching the bottom stem to it. When placing in the water, the stem has holes in it to fill with the water to keep it upright. We waited a bit outside and as the sun set the colors showed up vibrant and create a circumference of 5ft color globe around it. Very pleased!

Our above ground pool doesn't have any lights in it, so this was a great addition that our kids love. The multiple colors add flare to an evening swim (as long as they don't use the green light and make me think the pool is algae infested). So far it seems to keep a good charge to where I've seen it glowing out in the pool around 4am before.
