Easy To Clean
This filter element is very easy to clean. When you started noticing buildup of dirt and sediment on the fabric, remove the cartridge and hose it down. The trilobal fabric is much easier to wash resulting in shorter maintenance timeframes.

When To Clean Your Filter Cartridge:
• Whenever the filter pressure gauge increases in 8-10 PSI [pounds per square inch] above its regular operating pressure
• After an algae bloom, excessive debris, or a phosphate treatment
• After a particularly large bather load; oils, sunscreen, and cosmetics need to be rinsed from the element to maintain water clarity
• Every 6 months
When To Replace Your Filter Cartridge:
• When the filter pressure gauge increases in PSI [pounds per square inch] and the length of time between cleanings is decreasing
• When your weekly maintenance is increasing: more chemicals are necessary to keep the pool clear
• If there is damage to the element, such as: permanent discoloration, torn pleats, or cracked end caps
• Every 1-2 years

Safe & Sturdy Packaging

This is a replacement filter and I am very impressed. I recently had my pool pavers pressure washed and sealed. That resulted in a lot of sand in the pool which, in turn, ran through the filter. I had to clean the filter twice a day for three days, but it stood up to the grit & jet washing beautifully and looks brand new. Very sturdy. Will definitely be my filter going forward.

These filters work great! Our pool resembled a swamp sadly and we bought these filters because they were inexpensive and we knew due to our pool being a swamp that we would be going through many filters. They actually caught more debris than the more expensive filters we previously purchased and rinsed out super well. Will definitely be sticking with these filters!

Excellent filter replacement media. Exact same size, about 1/3 price of original. Pentair states that their filter will/should last 5-6yrs. I did not get that amount of time out of it, but this Poolzilla filter at 1/3 price, I can replace more often if need be. Seems to be working well, cleans up easy.

Purchased these on a chance they would work in our pool filter. We ordered a different brand from the company we purchased our pool from. That brand was double the cost of this product ($104.00 for one filter) and half as good! We replaced that filter mid-summer with this one and it worked perfectly! The other brand we were using would have to be cleaned every 2 to 3 weeks. We cleaned this filter when we closed our pool 8 weeks after we put it in. Our water stayed clean and clear. The filter did an excellent job keeping the pump operating at the right pressure. We decided to purchase the 2 pack so when the one we are using needs cleaned we can swap it out for the new one. I can't swear to it but I believe we will get 2 or 3 seasons out of these verses 1 season of the other brand!
