I got this so I could listed to audiobooks while I drive. My new car doesn't have a CD player. I was able to connect it both via the cable and Bluetooth. It works for what I need it to do

Bluetooth headset connectivity! With crazy rambunctious Husky Mixes' in the house, wired 'phones just don't last a day. This little player connected to my set before I had even finished reading the instructions! While it is like all modern devices; the potential to be ear splitting loud connected to 'phones isn't there, it does get loud enough to keep all but the loudest noises from intruding. I also connected it to a few external 'retro' radio/speakers flawlessly. The next Pro.. is the top loading button-less lid, makes easy to load or perfect for retro mounting in a car. It does have a nice low profile, a display and front mounted buttons. The volume button is a little weird at first. Usually in such small devices its a simple rotary knob, with this one.. push it in then move right or left for Vol UP or DWN. The "Cons", with such a small player there would have to be concessions. It doesn't have any EQ presets, some people like 'em, I usually don't bother unless the sound is too 'tinie'. The speakers are on the bottom, on some surfaces it wouldn't be too bad, but on a bed or fabric, it would absorb alot of the sound. Also with the speakers so close together, it's not easy to verify that it is "Stereo" as the ad says.. but in such a small player I'd have to admit I wonder why they'd go through the effort if they weren't going to mount the little speakers up in the front corners. The buttons are not lit, something I appreciated on the last player. With the buttons being black against the black display panel, it will take a few uses to get used to what button is where. The only other obvious place of concern is the side connections panel, there is the USB-C, USB Female, and 1/8" jack. With the spacing of the connections, as in my case, one connection will interfere with or prevent another. I had a fairly narrow usb stick plugged in, but I could not plug in the included 1/8" patch cord to try the bt headphones out in normal wired mode or plug in to charge it. Honestly though that shouldn't detract from the device, Its just matter of making sure its charged, and make sure the wired plug is narrow [the supplied patch cable is a bit large]. The size, and BT are spot on for a great grab and go CD player!

The CD player is compact and portable as it can be recharged. There is a speaker on the CD player, so it does not need external speakers. The device speaker has adequate volume specially for a personal device. It can get fairly loud. however, if you’re using it at a party you will definitely need external speakers.This device can play a CD or music files from a USB drive if they are in the correct format. I tested it with a CD and it started playing the CD soon as I inserted it. There are buttons to skip a song or go back to the last song or skip to the beginning or end. There is a Mode button that switches in between the CD or a USB stick. Long press of the mode button turns on the Bluetooth transmitting capabilities. It can transmit to a headphone or an external speaker. I connected it to my Sony wireless headphones while playing a CD on the device, and it connected immediately, but the sound was not as robust as my music on Spotify. The volume through the headphones, was also very low and I could not change the volume using my headphone controls, I had to use the manual volume button on the CD player to increase the volume.The CD player comes with a USB-C cord for charging the player and an auxiliary cord for plugging it into any other source that has a headphone jack like your car. I mainly got this device because I wanted to play some audiobook CDs from the library and I do not have a CD player at home. This player serves that function and I don’t need amazing speakers on the device to listen to audiobooks. It also comes with plug-in earbuds if I want to listen to my audiobooks while traveling. Or I can just use any regular plug-in buds. The included earbuds are OK quality and have three sizes of tips for a better fit. I like the LCD screen on the player because it tells you the play time and the track number and volume level. It also tells you whether it is in the CD mode or the USB mode and whether the Bluetooth is active.I have a huge collection of classical CDs that I have been wanting to play, and if the city player can connect properly to my Bluetooth speakers in my living room, then I will be able to play those CDs. I am not sure how long the CD player would last, but if it lasts a couple of years with every day usage, that would be great. Some other devices of this type come with the remote, but this particular one does not come with a remote. That would have been a nice feature for using it in my living room when connected with other external speakersThere are other comparable devices that are slightly cheaper, however, I have not tested them out. This one seems to have almost all the features I need.

I have a huge CD collection but my new car does not have a cd player. *screams* this is perfect tho. I love having this now. It’s so sleek looking. Such a good solution to my new car issue.

I got this as a gift for my mom who loves to listen to music while cooking or baking in the kitchen. She has an Amazon Echo and I thought this would be awesome to bluetooth to it and use the Echo as a speaker (like I can with my phone). Sadly, it doesn't work. At all. My parents tried several different things using bluetooth and it didn't work. They ended up using the AUX feature with their car radio so they can listen to CDs in their car. Definitely a bummer. They're happy that that works, but I just don't see what the point of the bluetooth for this thing is??
