I was looking for an extra burner for holiday cooking when one stove top can sometimes not be sufficient to get the job done. The problem with this unit is that it uses terminology that makes little sense for the burners intended use. "Steam, BBQ, Hot Pot, Stir Fry, etc" are much less helpful than actual temperature settings would be. I have no idea, for example, how you BBQ on an electric hot plate, and what exactly is a "hot pot".... There are the usual limitations of electric burners, they heat up and cool down slowly, but this does at least have a fan that runs until the burner has cooled down enough to touch, which is a nice feature. I also feel the product is larger than it has to be. I suppose they were going for a sleek look by laying out the controls and burner on a flat plane, but it ends up just taking up more counter space than was necessary. Overall, it is a fair product, but I would not be likely to purchase it again.

I was looking for a small burner I could use outdoors when I'm canning in the fall. It often involves boiling or simmering for long periods, such as when canning beets or tomato sauce, and can get messy. This burner allows me to move that part of the process outside, meaning less steam and mess inside the kitchen. The burner itself is well constructed and easy to use. It has several preset buttons, though pressing many of them seems to result in the same temperature settings. The temperature is also controllable with the +/- buttons so you can dial in the exact temperature you want. It's worked well in some initial tests, and it is easy to clean. My one reservation about the unit is that I could not find a maximum weight for it. I'm planning on using my largest stock pot when I boil my beets in the fall, so we'll see how it handles that weight. Otherwise, I'm perfectly satisfied with this unit so far. I'll update my review as I get more use out of it, should I encounter anything that warrants it.

I love using this cooktop. It is so easy to use. I love the fact that there is many different modes. And I love the fact that you can set your own temperature gauge. It works very well and it does cool down in a decent amount of time. And for cleaning it, it is very easy to clean. I would recommend do not put a stain pan on this electric cookware because it will stain in your cooktop. Other than that, it heats up really fast. You can put it on warm and there’s just so many different functionalities to it. I also like the fact that it does not really take up that much space and it’s easy to store and put away.

This is a really nice looking unit and it is useful for places like the cabin for occasional usage, or maybe when you need an extra burner but I doubt I would use this on the regular and never without full on monitoring. The selections are pretty good, but there is no low medium and high, it is temperature based, and a tops out at 1300 (hotpot?) I am not really understanding it all.WHAT I LIKED:- I like that it heats up quickly.- I can use any of my pots and pans.- Does not heat underneath - so no risk of damage to my countertop.NOT SO MUCH- Iffy eletrical - no certifications

I got the Topwish electric cooktop because I have an old electric stove that I hate cooking on and I wanted the flexibility to be able to cook outside or at the counter or table with the kids. I absolutely hate when I cook with oil and it stinks up my entire apartment so with this burner I can move outside to sear meat or fry foods, it’s great! The kids also like to do pancake challenges and silly stuff like that and this allows us to do it safely. I was using a panini press/grill but it broke and I wanted something smaller with more flexibility and this burner is exactly what I was looking for. I love that it has a ton of options like 6 presets, 10 power levels, a timer, a kids lock, etc. I haven’t even used them all yet because there are so many features but I did try the hotpot mode, stir fry, heating, and the keep warm options along with the individual heat settings and everything works great! It has fans on the bottom to keep it nice and cool when in use and I had no problem with it on my table but I did sit it on a silicone mat just in case when i was first trying it out but it wasn’t even necessary. The one thing I like about this versus induction is that I can use any of my pots and pans with it, even glass and ceramic, and it works great. The only downside is that the cooktop does get hot unlike an induction so you have to be careful not to burn yourself just like with a regular stovetop. I love that I can set the kids lock for my 5 year old and my cat because I was nervous the cat would step on it and click it on when not in use. When it’s cooling down I just put it on my stovetop so it’s out of the way but I do have a tall metal rack I might start putting it on because then it would be up high and out of the way from little fingers and paws. I really like it and would recommend if you need extra burner space in a small apartment or like cooking outside but don’t have a burner on your grill.

This is a neat looking and functional unit. Unfortunately, for a device that consumes at least 1300W, it does not have any safety certificate attached to it. If it had a low wattage power I would not mind using much, but when it comes to up to 15Amps of power used. The plug is certified, but the unit itself that consumes that much power is not.The manual is also full of mistakes and mistranslated warnings making me uncomfortable with using this product. If it was certified, it would been a great product.

I have a few problems with this cooktop. All of the markings are applied with a very thin coat of white paint. They're very hard to see, especially when there's any glare from lights. The paint is so thin that I think it'll be completely worn off in a short amount of time. The settings range from 200 to 1300. These are apparently wattages, and have no correlation at all to any particular temperature. You want medium high heat?... You'll have to experiment. There are six presets available, and you need to pick one of them to use the cooktop. The only one that has any real use is what they call "warm". This is set to 90°, and is the only temperature setting you can find on this thing. The other presets are "steam", "heating", "BBQ", "hot pot", and "stir fry". The difference in each of these is totally pointless. They basically take the ranges of 200 to 1300 and bypass some combination of settings. As an example, the setting 'hot pot' starts at 200 and jumps to 500. I see no rhyme, reason, or functionality to these various presets and their settings ranges. I get the feeling that they were just dreamt up for the sake of having presets. If you move your pan around very much you'll end up changing the settings accidentally, so you need to use the child lock while you're cooking, and take off the child lock if you want to make a settings change, then put it back on again. As far as heat, this thing doesn't even come close to keeping up with my induction burner. It behaves very much like an old style electric burner. It's slow to heat up, and slow to cool down, which makes it very hard to work with. I really can't think of anything positive to say about this cooktop.

This single burner induction is great for travel, camping, small spaces/apartments, cooking outdoors and for hot pot. It’s currently winter and hot pot season. I tried using this induction burner with our glass pot, but it did not work. We had to switch to a metal pot. I didn’t know this and wasted quite a bit of time trying to boil water. The burner has 1800W of power, but I found that even on the highest setting, it took a long time for 2 L of water to boil. This induction burner was easy to use since there are features specifically designed for steaming, heating, warm, hot pot and stir fry. I prefer to set a custom temperature, using the highest setting. Even at the highest temperature, I found this induction cooktop to be a bit underpowered. It does take more time than a gas stove, but it did get the job done and I couldn’t have asked for more.
