We were so accustomed to using a rubber mallet for our tile installations and then we thought we would give this a try. Within 2 days of using it we were hooked the vibration level is perfect so as to just provide enough movement for the mortar and thinset. Having two batteries is an extra bonus and we're never having to stop our work midway. It's a little heavier than a rubber mallet however, once you get used to it, it's no different than moving to any other tool. There are more expensive name brands on the market, but we've been working steadily with this one for several weeks and it's excellent through and through. I would definitely recommend for the professional

Portable Cordless Tile Vibration ToolI picked this up for an unconventional use, vibrating air bubbles/pockets out of concrete and resin. This is marketed as a tile vibrator, and I am certain it would work well for that purpose. However, after seeing a YouTuber use it to vibrate air bubbles out of mortar, I decided to get one for myself to do the same, as well as for other materials. Another review mentions how loud it is, and they are speaking truth, it is loud and vibrates a lot, but to me it was expected, and not a huge deal. One thing that I did note, is that it will work using Makita 18V batteries, though the two included batteries are labeled as 21V (but tested as 18V with multimeter).

This tile vibration tool comes with a complete toolbox and two batteries, making it quite portable. It offers nine different vibration levels and has strong suction, making it suitable for home tile installation and thick glass. I bought it as a backup since I plan to replace the wall tiles in my bathroom soon, and I believe this tool will be very useful.

Great deal for a hard working vibration tool for setting tile. The tool is ideal for properly setting replacement tiles in an existing floor. The powerful suction cup can hold up to 60" square tiles. The tool comes in a hard case with two rechargable batteries. Versatile tool.

I'm not an expert on these or laying tile - but this does hold onto smooth finish tiles and it does settle them into a grout bed quite quickly -That said, this was much noisier than I expected - not horrible but everything on it rattles - the battery, battery clip the suction lever and some of the internal parts - it sounds like its trying to shake itself apart. There doesn't seem to be any isolation between the shaker part and the handle - so it shakes you and the battery just as well as the tile.I have some worries that this will damage the batteries over time - the battery itself is making a fair amount of noise. It will work with a Makita 18V battery as well. The suction cup works fine on smooth surfaces - not so well on other materials. The lever to create the suction is metal and sturdy and conveniently located but the latch to keep it in position isn't super convenient and between the location of the latch and the activation switch, it feels a little awkward to operate. There are 9 speeds - with quite a range - the selected speed is easily visible on the display. The power switch is shared with the speed select. When you switch off the speed reverts to 1 (slow) but it stays set as long as the power and display are on. Activating the vibration is a separate momentary switch - that just controls the motor - not the speed or power - fairly easy to use.Unlike many of the newer tools, this is not a brushless motor - its a conventional brushed motor but it does have bearings rather than bushings - there are no additional bearing for the vibration weight - its supported by the motor bearings from one side. There are already screws loosening up on this - I'm not sure how long its going to last - but it does work.Interesting tool - it does work - a bit noisy and I question how long it will work.
